Re: Friday randoms
I'm sorry to hear your day isn't working out how you'd like.
And I don't want to start the kid debate again, but just one thing -- on the con list for me is the unpredictability of kids. How do you explain to a young child that he must pull himself together because blueberry picking is on the spreadsheet for this afternoon, gosh darn it!
That comment was not at all targeted to you, Deeder. The people I had in mind no longer post here, and haven't since before you were a regular.
Yes! hahaha - 71 miles in fact. Very long ride, indeed. The trail is part of the Michigander next year, BTW. I was just naming the trail so if they want to do a portion of it (30 minute out, 30 minute back) they can. I should have been more clear!!
First, why not go into that one, we've already tackled politics this morning.
Second, I love that both of us referenced our con lists today.
Ah, yes! That makes sense to me now.
Same here. Also, unfortunately, if a candidate is running and wants support of one party or another, there is pressure to fall in line with the planks of the party platform.
Love all of this!
You should post on Amash's FB page, "Just for the record, I'm watching you. It doesn't mean I like you."
Be sure to come back to play after lunch.
All of you ladies are getting me through this last day very nicely! Thank you!
HA! I almost didn't post that info because of awareness of you and your cons/spreadsheets...
On the other hand, I've never been a spreadsheet person or much of a planner. And that shows in my parenting style. I know plenty of people who value plans and efficiency way more than I and they are able to get things done with kids. So, that's not allowed on your list.
Now, to round out the Henry sharing, he just got dressed on his own and then helped Willa was some dishes. We're on our way!! Have a fun mid-afternoon.
Stop and do yoga if you need. It is ok to take a break during such a strenuous task.
LOVE THIS! bwhahaha.
I already have to do that, and T's only 18 months.
Tough stuff. Is there a nap for him on the agenda today? T usually wakes up in much better moods. Hope you can go soon.
lmao!
Willa and those dishes. Man, that's awesome. Free labor=pro list.
Enjoy your afternoon!
THIS! to the bolded.
SCORE! Have fun! to the unbolded.
Love this.
When we went to Texas a few years ago, we went out to a bar with my uncles. We had been all over (haha not really) Texas at that point and we're talking about where we were. H said he thought his friend lived around the area so he called and told him where we at, and he decided to join us. Then we called my cousin, and he was able to join us too. I think both had to drive about an hour.
It was the most fun impromtu gathering I'd had in a long time. Have fun!
My email is completed and submitted! I referenced his Christianity and related responsibility to help those less fortunate among us.
GRSP, glad to hear that Henry's mood has improved! Have fun!
Diana, sounds like you'll have a fun time tonight! We have never been to Founders. Hopcat is our go-to place. Perhaps we should check out Founders sometime though.
Also, the suggested FB clarification to Amash is absolutely hilarious.
Good job on writing the email and very clever referencing his own beliefs.
You and B should come tonight! L will be there as well.
No kidding. I got a friend request last month from someone I went to school with from K-3rd grade in Minnesota. Wasn't even a close friend (as close as one can be at that age) and I obviously haven't seen the girl since we moved away. But now she wants access to all my personal information? Nope. I denied the request and then she sent me a message: "Hey, don't know if you remember me, we went to school together at X..." Well, if you have to explain who you are, you're not going on my friend list.
Do you have any idea how late you'll be there? We were thinking about going out later tonight. It wouldn't be until about 8:30 though, because I really want to get to that yoga class.
Also, the debt ceiling is probably best discussed with beers.
Didn't feel targeted but wanted come out of the closet of sort.
I'm right there with you, D&MJ.
GRsp - Good luck berry picking! Hope you get a big haul!
I'm looking at making this for tonight. But want to use chicken breast only. It's says to cook in a crock pot on high 6 hours. I'm a bit worried because there really isn't any liquid and I'm only using 2 breast b/c they are so big. (I heart Sobie Meat's)
4 Chicken thighs, skin on4 Chicken drumsticks, skin on
2 pounds fingerling potatoes
40 cloves of garlic
In a 6-qt crock pot, layer potatoes, garlic, chicken, and more garlic. Cook on high for approximately 6 hours, or until chicken is cooked through and garlic is soft.
I totally agree with this. XN has "liked" Amashole to keep an eye on him, but I can't stomach it to do the same. Of course, the fact that he was a jerk when I went to high school with him didn't do much to win favor in my eyes, even before knowing where he stood politically.
Speaking of MN, I talked to a guy the other day from MN with your maiden name and I thought of you.
