When did you start crafting: When I was little w/ my mom. She was always into making something.

What do you do the 8 hrs you aren't crafting (ie your job): I'm currently in the Programs Animal Dept at a Zoo (we do Wildlife Shows, on the news, school programs etc) and will soon start working in the Animal Health Center which is the veterinary facility for the whole zoo.

When did you start crafting: My mom's nick name among her friends when I was growing up was Martha. I have been crafting for as long as I can remember, but quilting since November '10.

Craft you've always wanted to try: I used to always want to knit, but I'm pretty satisfied not knowing. I like to be good at things, and I think if I add one more craft, I'll never reach the good stage. lol
Craft you fear: Scrapbooking. I hate scrapbooking. I have started art journaling and I like it, though!
When did you start crafting: Pretty much when we got married. I've always wanted to be crafty, but my parents didn't exactly encourage me to do it, and DH loves it that I'm crafty.
Kids: One daughter, turns 2 this week!
Pets: One Welsh Corgi, Wyatt, and a horse at my parents' house that we'll get when we find a place in the country.
What do you do the 8 hrs you aren't crafting (ie your job): I'm a stay at home momma, so I only get about 2 hours of crafting time during naptime. After the hubs gets home from work, we are usually outside in the garden or playing.

What do you do the 8 hrs you aren't crafting (ie your job): 10 hrs in the evenings at a veterinary technician (nurse) in a 24hr emergency/specialty vet in the ICU and triage areas

Craft you fear: Sewing, but my MIL bought me a sewing machine for Christmas and I'm trying to get over that fear.
When did you start crafting: I actually learned that I was crafty in the past 2 years while I was planning our wedding.

Craft you fear: Sewing. I have tried and I really suck at it but hopefully one day.
When did you start crafting: About 2 years ago. I went to a craft day at church and I was going to work on a few things (computer scrapbooking) but there were people there doing scrapbooking and card making and I feel in love with it. After that I bought my cricut and have loved it since then.
Kids: Our first LO is due September 25 so I have been doing a lot of crafts for her.

What do you do the 8 hrs you aren't crafting (ie your job): Work at a religious organization.
Craft of Choice: Sewing. I can embroider, cross stitch and paint (oils, watercolors, acrylics, etc) as well. I was an art major in college so I also (kind of) know my way around Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
Craft you've always wanted to try: Knitting/crocheting. I'm just not coordinated though!
Craft you fear: Quilting. I could piece, but I cannot let myself do the quilting.
When did you start crafting: My mom taught me how to do embroidery and cross stitching at a young age. I started picking up the sewing machine more last year.
Kids: 1 monster we call Monkey, who is 4.5.

Craft you've always wanted to try: Sewing. I have tried, but the machine and I argue a lot.
Craft you fear: DIY making/revamping furniture and other large pieces. The tutorials always make it seem easy, but I'm never brave enough to try.
When did you start crafting: A few years ago for yarn stuff, but I've always done small projects (like wreaths and whatnot).

Pets:One dog, one cat. The dog loves when I do yarn crafting because it means I sit reasonably still and he's usually allowed to cuddle on the couch next to me. The cat is just mad he doesn't get to play with the yarn.

Craft you've always wanted to try: I want to make a big quilt. First I want the patience to make a big quilt. I also really want to try woodworking.
Craft you fear: Anything that's super time intensive. My attention and concentration is just so scattered- I'll get bored and move onto something else.
When did you start crafting: I have been crafting since I was tiny. When I was in kindergarten, my Gran came in from out of state for a visit and let me pick anything at all to do one day of her trip. Disney? Seaworld? Playground? Shopping for toys? No. I picked candle making (I'd checked out every craft book in our local library and the candle-making one held my interest at the time). We went downtown, got sheets of scented beeswax and wicks and spent the afternoon making candles. That's probably not even the weirdest example- I'll have to think.
Kids: 4yo son, almost 2yo daughter.
Pets: 5 dachshunds, 1 more waiting for us in doggy heaven.
What do you do the 8 hrs you aren't crafting (ie your job): I've spent the day dodging flying Weeble Wobbles (trust me- they can do damage), running from imaginary rogue attack hippos and scrubbing grime off tiny toes. I'm just coming up for some air before feeding time commences. It's not a life for the faint-hearted.
Craft you've always wanted to try: Sewing clothes. I tried once and it didn't go very well.
Craft you fear: English Paper Piecing seemed really intimidating until I tried it last week and discovered it's not as bad as I thought. I actually like it.
When did you start crafting: My parents bought me my first sewing machine for Christmas in 2005. A few months before that I had borrowed my mom's 1960-something avocado green Singer that broke more often than it worked.
Kids: One son, though he's still happily growing in my uterus.

What do you do the 8 hrs you aren't crafting (ie your job): 95% SAHW. I work part-time as a CNA when I want to. If I need money or I'm bored, I call my employer to see what hours are available. It's nice because I'm not required to work weekends and I technically have a job, even if I don't work very often.
