I just called Society and all I can say is... ahahahaha.  Yeah.  No.

I know a girl that posts around here that's pretty handy in the kitchen...

Leslie immediately came to mind, too.  But, I need them by tomorrow and yeah, that doesn't seem nice to ask so late.  :(

They absolutely have to be that one flavor?

Yep.  It's an italian themed baby shower.  :(

I can Betty Crocker some for you.  I mean, that's all professional bakers really use... right?  Wink

ETA:  Market Street usually has a variety of unique cupcakes for purchase.  You might call them or even Central Market?

I think I live like an hour from you...but I can do them this afternoon and have them ready by this evening if you can come get them. You caught me on a day with nothing going on. Do you have/can you get her recipe? I only ask this so they are what she expects them to be if I do them -- there are a ton of variations on Italian Cream recipes...

Actually, I can do you one better. Tonight is date night. I will see if I can talk DH into a restaurant in the mid cites and shave off about 25 minutes for you. :)

  • Leslie-  If you are heading to the mid-cities, I suggest you take 170 and stop by my house to drop off some extra cupcakes!!!!

Everything you make looks so yummy!

Tiffany-  Did you guys buy any Vegas show tickets?

  • How often do you guys want something other then what you brought for lunch?? I bought lasagna and I wanted it this morning, but I saw someone eating a burger and now I really want that. Fighting the urge.

Every frickin day now.  I brought leftovers but it didn't sound good at all so I went to the cafeteria and bought a calzone.  Much better!  I have brought lunch every day this week and it sounds horrible by lunch time so I end up eating a banana and some chips.

  • I brought my lunch today, but I'm just not hungry for some reason :-/  I don't even feel like going out to get something (which is good since I have been good about eating healthy lunches all week!).

I miss being able to be on here during the day.  I feel like by the time I get on, everyone is already gone :-(

    Agree with you 100%

  • Ugh.  I got sucked in to a political debate and it freakin' ticks me off every time.

  • Sara - Yes, we are going to see the Lion King.

Have you ever seen any of the Cirque du Soleil shows?  I love love love them.

FWIW, I saw your complete original post, and totally agree. As someone who wrote about politics for 6 years, I was constantly amazed at how little people knew. Even if you don't watch the news, read the paper, or do independent research, you almost have to TRY to be that oblivious.

    I'm sorry you got frustrated!

    Tiffany-  That sounds so fun!

Angie-  I have seen Love (the Beatles show) and this year I am going to see the Viva Elvis show.  I like the shows because of the music, but I get so nervous with all the acrobatics that I usually sweat through the whole show!

    Sara, when are you going?

We're going to see Zumanity front row on the "duo sofas."  I am getting so excited about our trip.  I have spent literally hours researching where we are going to eat.

Ha, thanks.  I had to DD, because I didn't want people to think that I'm a jerk or anything.  I just get super frustrated with it all!

We are going Oct. 21-24.   DH and I always make these grand eating plans and then the day gets away from us and we never make it!

You are going in October, right?

  • Sara - Yes, but we wanted to do something different this time.  DH isn't a big fan of Cirque.

Stephie - Ohhhh my, Zumanity?  Prepare to be embarassed.  Thoroughly.   It was a really entertaining show though!

Hee, yeah, I know.  It wasn't my first choice.  I was happy to see Mystere again but Ben didn't want to see it since I have already; we wanted to see O but there were no seats on ANY of the 4 nights we are there; and the LOVE tickets were crazy expensive for not that good of seats.  (I am a CDS snob of sorts--I have only sat first or second row at any show!)  So Zumanity fit the bill--1st row for a decent price.

They have first row seats for Phantom the Thursday night we get there -- but they were $300.  I sent Ben the link but he didn't exactly jump up and down say Oh yeah, let's do it.

This is why I try not to talk politics now. I feel like people just repeat whatever lines they've heard without knowing what they're talking about. And I've been so busy lately that I haven't been keeping up with things and I'd have no idea what I was talking about if I did. Except for gay rights, because I'll stick up for my amazing friends any day.
