I do have an AW. I put on a pair of capris this morning and was thinking "Why are these tight? I haven't been gaining weight!" When I got to school I looked at the tag and they are the smaller size! Whoop!
Re: What we do Thursday
Congrats, Julie! What an awesome surprise!
My AW is similar... the dress I wore in the pictures we modeled for last week is a size smaller than I've worn in 2.5 years. Still a size above my goal, but one step closer!!
YAY ladies!
My AW is we paid off 1 credit card last night! Just 2 more to go now!
Oh ya this morning at work, we got some rain!
Yay for all the awesome news ladies!
I feel wonderful this morning, I ran/jogged 2 miles last night then went to bed early and it seems to be paying off tonight.
Also, we have been able to pay off everything that was past due/ in collections and I think next month we will start putting a tiny bit into savings along with a little toward both credit cards.
I just wanted to share how much I LOVE Sprouts. A new one just opened close to me last Wednesday and I've been twice already.
Their chicken/beef/pork is half the price of Kroger. Their lunch meat is delicious and also about half the price.
I've left there with a small basket of items on two trips for far less than I would have paid for meat alone at Kroger.
Wow, just wow. How did I not try this place out sooner?
Congrats on AWs. Woo hoo to paying off debt and double Woo hoo to starting to save money.
I was pleasantly surprised to wake up to loud thunder. I didn't even mind that it woke me up.
Congrats on all the AW's!
Tiffany- Try their cowboy burgers. LOVE!
My AW's: Today is my Friday and I won't be back in the office until Tuesday. All my college girlfriends will be here this weekend. Restaurant Week dinner at Ruth Chris tomorrow night. Our new fence was completed yesterday.
Yay for everyone's AWs!
My AW is really small, and I might have even AW'd it already, but I'm still really proud, so here goes. My Aggie Ring fits again, and I've been wearing it for the last week! The scale hasn't moved any more, but obviously things are moving around for the better, because it's been too tight for a long time. Hooray for fitting into things again!
Also, I had a delicious breakfast, and got to play with my boss's baby first thing this morning.... add that to the cool breezy walk with Crispin, and this day has to be good

I wish we would get a Sprout's closer to us. I really would like to try it.
Last night I had the weirdest dream ever. I had twins but I was carrying them as a surrogate for Lauren and her DH. My DH and I arrived on a plane to meet them in an airport to pass off the babies and we went to Razoo's to eat and then gave them the babies. SO STRANGE!
I did the first day of level two of 30 DS last night and it was pretty intense. I was shaking while clipping coupons for the grocery store after working out. We went to the store and then to BWW, where I ate the most delicious Honey BBQ wings and some fries and was still 133 calories under my allotment for the day.
Yay for the AWs!
I really wish we had something like this close to us. Out here, it's Wal Mart or HEB. Once a month, we make a special trip to Central Market. It's expensive, but it's just so much BETTER. I'd love to have a Sprouts location anywhere within 45 minutes of us.
HEB is my favorite grocery store. I grew up shopping there and have a special place in my heart for it. I have heard that they have an agreement in the immediate DFW area with Tom Thumb that they will stay out of the area if Tom Thumb stays out of Austin. I wish that agrement would end as Tom Thumb does nothing for me.
Our HEB management changed a few years ago, and it has NOT been for the better. That used to be where we shopped, but you KNOW it's bad if we prefer Wal Mart. The store is painfully small and out of date. Just part of living out in the boonies, I guess.
We talk about once a year about moving to the Plano/McKinney/Frisco area, since that's where most of our clients are. The availability of more fresh/local/organic food is a huge "pro" on that list. But lots more pros will have to be on that list before it can justify leaving the free babysitting and super low cost-of-living we have out here.
I've been wanting to try Sprouts for awhile, but it's not really close to me and I haven't made it over there yet.
I finally started working out again. It feels so great to have sore legs. I was on here one day when you girls were talking about green monsters. I want to start making them. Do you use a protein powder or just the fruits and spinach?
This is a completely random confession, but having my boss's baby in the office today is REALLY fueling my baby fever. Bigtime. It seems like everything is fueling it these days, though.
Whew, I feel better - I had to tell someone
I have already shared my AW this week.
Although--we are now looking at getting a new dining room table since mine that I bought in 1998 from Sears is about to completely fall apart. The chairs are literally coming apart and Ben had a nightmare last night that people were sitting in the chairs and they were splitting in half.
Heather, I don't put protein powder in my GMs but I do make them with soy milk so that I do get some protein at least. I am so glad to have found out about them--I love them!

Have a baby! Have a baby! Have a baby! Well, only if you really want to...lol.
Green Monster smoothies are spinach, fruit, liquid, sometimes ice and a blender. You can add a protein powder if you want to but the spinach does have protein so unless you are really killing it in workouts or are weight lifting a ton, you really don't need a protein powder.
A good rule of thumb for daily protein intake is to use the formula .40 x body weight = number of grams to be consumed per day. If you are active daily, protein intake ratios are mixed...anywhere from .50 to 1 x body weight is recommended. I usually aim for about .60-.75 x body weight as I do a decent amount of running or weight/cardio six days a week.
I hate Tom Thumb. I'm sure Austin would, too. HEB is stupid for making that agreement.
I had a dream the other night that I had a baby. Yep. A boy.
Thanks Stephanie and Leslie!
Stephie - I just looked through this week's posts. Congrats on the new car!
Re: Baby fever. Every time I see a baby, I want one. I have a year left in school so I know that now isn't a good time. I just tell myself that I like babies. I refuse to call it baby fever.
Hahaha and how's that working out for you? Because I can tell myself stuff like that all day, and it doesn't help. I think I need to babysit a baby regularly - it'll either fix the problem, or make it a bazillion times worse. I know it's a bad time too, and that's why I'm waiting... but part of me wants to say screw it, let's do it.
ETA: Leslie, is it bad for a person to have too much protein? I don't mean like 8x what you're suggesting, but on MFP I try to go over the amount they recommend, which seems to use the 40% formula, in hopes that it will keep me fuller longer... Is that a bad thing? (Like today, I'm at about .6*weight, but I'm not nearly as active as you.)
I would never advocate having children irresponsibly, so don't hear what I'm not saying... but really? Anytime you have a baby, it's going to be hard. Major changes, major expense, major emotion, major surprises. Have one anyway. You won't regret it.
Congrats to all the weight loss and paying off debt!
Stephanie, we need a new dining room table and new couches. The dining room table isn't too bad it's just small. The couches SUCK so bad. DH got them for free and they were fine for a bachelor but I can't stand them. I want new ones so bad. He keeps telling me we'll get some soon but it has yet to happen.
I love HEB. We had one in College Station and my grandparents always shopped at them in San Antonio. I wish we would get them up here. Leslie if that rumor is true Tom Thumb found a way around it then. Tom Thumb is also Randall's and there are Randall's in Austin. I don't mind Tom Thumb but there was something about HEB that I just loved!
*throws down in floor with ears plugged, kicking and screaming* La la la la, I can't hear you!!
Does anyone know where Summer has been hiding? (Not the season, the person!) She always had funny things/comments to make and miss the laugh.
This is exactly the argument I have with myself. I'm fairly certain we could swing it financially and be fine, but I know that if we waited about 6 more months before trying, we'd feel a lot better about it... so I keep telling myself, what's 6 more months of waiting? And that is the side of me that's currently winning... but man the other side of me is a complainer haha
School is owning her life right now too.

You can too!

I know what you mean, I was there, too. We had it planned PERFECTLY. Then it took us 18 months to conceive, and I had to miss 6 of the most lucrative weeks of the year in a MAJOR formative year of our business. And it worked.
Like I said, I don't want to advocate being irresponsible. I DO think it's important to have some "you time" after you're newlywed. But at the same time, I love babies, and since I'm done having them, I want others to start.
My take on getting pregnant/having babies: I loved that part of my life and I'm also glad that it is over.
Going to look at a dining room table on Sunday! We found it on Craigslist. This will be our first Craiglist buying experience.

Good Morning Ladies! I'm back from lovely Minnesota!
My AW is that I had an amazing trip - day trip/lunch with both of my grandma's (we had lunch at the deli Obama went to when visiting MN!) and a fun princess party. I haven't been "Auntie Kate" for nine months, so I really relished hearing my name constantly (CONSTANTLY!!!!
) being yelled.
I too am a huge Sprouts fan. When I found out there is one right by our new place, I literally squealed. That and a HomeGoods -- I'm good to go.
Hope everyone has had a great week!
