Heh... yeah, my MIL played that game for my shower. She wanted to invite all of her friends that I didn't even know. Not cool.

That doesn't sound too bad at all. And good thinking requesting (demanding?) help with preparing the house and clean up after.
It's so funny, try to remember back when you were a freshman in high school and that's pretty much my experience right now. It was a long time ago for me and so I had forgotten. But so many memories have come rushing back. Trying to decide which crowd to roll with, worrying about what my classmates will think of the lunch I've brought (or am I a loser for having brought lunch at all?!), the place is rife with rumor (this professor that, everyone in this section has a scholarship and it goes on), and of course the locker. At least I got one, but it's a sucky one, just like all the newbies get
Finally, something I'm not envious of!
For real though, it sounds like its going well so far!
Hahaha, yeah. You don't need to envy that or the pages of incomprehensible reading I'm slogging through right now. You also don't need to envy the fact that my grades are based entirely on one final exam that depends on my comprehension of all of this incomprehensible material
It is sinking in that I've bitten off a lot to chew.
"They" say all of the professors are nice the first week, so this might not be a good representation of how it's going to go all semester.
I did get stuck in the back of one class because 7/8 of the people in my section decide to go to the classroom more than 30 minutes in advance of class starting. And the professor passed around a seating chart. Oh well...
Ahhh...I'm totally late for Monday randoms. So here is all my randomness rolled into one.
-I got to tubing down the Muskegeon river yesterday. It was awesome - best weather possible!
-My motivation is low. Especially around my econ class.
-There is some really awesome Watermelon out there right now. Seriously, you should snag some.
