Re: TGIF-R
Savannah is on my list of places to go to. Have fun MissyNa There is a resort through CW timeshare, but I think it would be about impossible to use.
TH and I are talking about taking a grown up trip next spring/summer to Baltimore/DC to get in another ball game or two. We were going to go to Sesame Place with the kids but decided to save money, go back to IL where we went this summer, and take a grown up trip.
In 2013 it will be Disney. I probably should start saving up for that now.
We've debated about getting them Operation but decided that would be a great "Grandma's house" toy. My SIL has an old game there. Except SIL drive me crazy when the girls play it because she gets all freaked out that the kids are going to lose a piece. Relax lady.
If you go, I have so many suggestions!
This is how I felt. She asked me if I accepted the changes that were made to the itinerary. I asked if I had a choice. She said no. So, I said fine. I'm irritated because now we're going through O'Hare. I hate O'Hare and we specifically booked an itinerary that avoided O'Hare. Ah, well. How much can I really complain when my destination is Hawaii, right?
GVSU, I'm impressed by your Christmas shopping!
I have been thinking about scaling back on my group, but it probably wouldn't be for awhile yet (next year's annual meeting). You're welcome to use our producer list on our website as a reference list for local food sources though. Otherwise, I think WendyGR would probably have a good list.
Good luck with your work to-do list! Mine is also crazy. And on that note, back to it...
Nice coupon savings and sharing!
I'm curious to know what makes the gardening board controversial. I've never visited.
Yeah.
Kasa, thanks for sharing in more detail what you went through and what you were told. It's both discouraging and encouraging, if that makes any sense. I may request your listening ear for more information in the near future. At least now I know I'm not crazy.
That's amazing! I'm really impressed.
ME TOO. The thought of controversial gardening kind of makes me giggle.
Glad to help!
I will be happy to provide further assistance, pending the arrival of your Big Island recommendations in my inbox.
I kid, I kid. Avoid unnessecary computer exposure right now, for the sake of your eyeballs.
Sure! mmmm...wine tasting....
It would have to be after ArtPrize, though.
OMG!
I AM THE WORST PERSON EVER.
Hehe. No you're not. You've been busy -- planning your own trip and whatnot. No big deal. Your friend's email was very helpful.
It is for my August event, so we won't be meeting for a while. I am putting you on the wine and photography committee.
It's really not at all. But this particular poster tries to stir up judgemental trouble all the time. Funny subject matter to stir the pot on, you know?
You and Jim are on the "sound/AV committee"
Add "be bop jazz" to that title, and it'll be official!
The committee thing is going to be crazy for you. I hope you recruit and meet with force.
If I came across the coupon on the shelf, it would have totally made my day. I would have smiled knowing that someone out there was being thoughtful.
WRT to eye issues, Chymes I would highly recommend an ophthalmologist over an optometrist. Ophthalmologists have significantly more training and since it sounds like your issues are not at all ordinary or straightforward, the more expert doctor is probably better.
Even if not in first week zombie-ness, I'd be totally impressed with a kindergartner who knew how many other kids were in their class. I'm quite certain my 6 yo, first grader nephew would have no idea. And I kind of think that my 9 yo third grader nephew wouldn't know either, but that's because he is just way too laid back to care.
did someone say wine tasting?
I frequently ask to be compensated when inconvenienced, but my experience in dealing with airlines is that they will do nothing for you beyond "righting the wrong".
It is frustrating to deal with, for sure, but if it's any consolation air travel is priced significantly under its cost and really, we're all sort of fortunate that it's affordable at all.
Bonus: If you don't have vision insurance, or have crummy vision insurance (like me), opthalmalogists can be cheaper because they bill it to medical.
I spent 2.5 hours in Home Depot today.
I bought the supplies to make this set
and got my first injury, loading the wood into my car. Hello biggest splinter I've ever seen.
And I started painting the playroom. I went bold, and it's going to take me a little bit of time (and accessories) to get used to it, I think.
Awesome!
I've been singing the praises of TC and the whole west side, actually to all of my classmates. It's all going to backfire on me when they flood the area as tourists
But in the land of D, I feel like the west side needs an ambassador.
Today one of my classmates if I would ever move here permanently. I said "Only if I had to." Ha!
Who has two thumbs and is a West MI snob? This girl!
Aha. Gotcha. I have tons of respect for good opthalmalogists. (And much bitterness toward crummy opthalmalogists.) I've dealt with both!
