Apparently my insurance company notified my lawyer 2 WEEKS ago that my rental car coverage would end on the 15th....so I go to drop off the rental today and have a $600 bill waiting for me.

My lawyer never notified me that this was ending. My I insurance company told me before I even hired a lawyer that they would pay 80% up to $1000, which would give me a rental for 30 days. Well, I had it for 31 and they are only paying for 15 days. FML.

That stinks!  Maybe you can get someone on the phone and at least work out something in between.  I think you're policy should state exactly what the coverage is...call your agent and have the full policy sent to you (if you don't have a copy) and it should spell out the max coverages.

That is exactly what is stated in my policy. I've talked to my local agent and even she is baffled.

At least you have a leg to stand on.  They can't reduce your coverage from what you've paid for in the policy.

  • SInce I was sick yesterday (on my last day with G...boooo!!) we hit up the theatre and saw 2 movies...The Muppets and Immortal.  Quite a combo!

I hope so.  I think I'm going to leave work early today and try to go home and take a nap.  I feel like I could fall asleep on my desk even if every phone in the building was ringing all at once.

  • YAY! The girls are back!

War-I am utterly baffled by your rental car situation.  Can your lawyer get involved here?

Star-tell us all about your wonderful trip!

As for me:  working Black Friday wasn't as heinous as it should be, and I credit my managers with scheduling appropriately.  Apparently customers came in and commented that our store was cleaner than any other.  We did $57K from 12am - 10pm.  A normal friday for us is about $8k.

I am STILL SICK (day 6).  It's a nasty sinus infection I'm sure, but I really can't take much because of the baby--especially for this long.  We go to the dr weds, so hopefully she has some relief.  (P.S. neti pots are gross!!)

neti pots ARE gross!  don't use it too much either...it can end up making your sinuses even worse because they can get irritated.  I only use my once or twice when I'm sick typically.  When I first got one and used it every day, I ended up with my nose bleeding everytime I used it.

  • My trip was great!  At least until I got sick.  G met the family and held his own with everyone.  He brought my mom a Waterford bowl as a thank you for inviting him into her home and feeding him for a week (I had no idea he was going to do that...he's so sweet!).  He played with my niece and nephews and even offered to take them outside to play some.  He LOVED all the southern cooking and constantly told my mom how yummy it all was.  I think I'll keep him around.  Smile

Your store was incredibly organized on BF. My mom & I browsed thru a little that evening. Yay for the amazing sales numbers!

I realized this after I submitted my orginal post, but was too lazy to go fix it.  :)  I'm anxious to see how this works out.  I think I'm totally confused as to how this happened.  Insurance said they'd cover the car for 30 days...now they're saying only 15.  How can they change it?  Did they specify the class of car and you got a class up?  This makes my head hurt.

Woman, you were in my store and didn't come say hi??  I was there from 5:45 on...

His momma raised him up right.  He told me after we had been dating for a couple of weeks that he was evaluating my table manners on our first date.  His mom was such a stickler about that stuff, that he wanted to make sure that I had good manners.  I guess I passed!

He scored some points with my family on this over the weekend too.  My mom had been nervous to eat with him (I told her about the first date thing) but it was all fine.  They were impressed with his manners overall.

They said I could have any vehicle up to $1000 total. So that equalled 30 days for a midsize car. Then they called my lawyer telling him coverage would end on a certain date, and the lawyers office did not inform me. We found out when we turned the car in and they said your total is....

The adjuster won't all to us since we're lawyered up.

We just came in, then left around 7:45. There was a black girl folding clothes that said hi, and the store was sorta busy so I didn't want to b other anyone! Sorry. :(

  • OK, I ordered a Keurig for C for Christmas today.  I got it at Kohls, hopefully the deal was good.  It was $134 with a coupon for 20% off and free shipping, so I actually got it for $115.  The other deals I can find online are for $119 and free shipping, but no other extra % off, so I think I came out as best I could.  I think I'm going to get him a cologne sampler from Sephora.  It's a set of like 10 samples and a voucher for a full size bottle for $75 total.  He commented that that would be cool.  Now, what else?  I can spend about $70 more comfortably...or I could scrap the cologne thing bc I like what he wears already...

Sounds like a good deal! I saw some small personal one that were $99, but it was pretty small.

We have one at work, and I adore it.

Idk about the cologne thing, I like my man smelling a certain way..lol.

The mini is the $99 one.  It takes 2 minutes to make the coffee instead of instantly, or something like that.  I got the Elite B40.  I think it's considered the next step up.  I'm not a big coffee person so this stuff made no sense to me.

Since its the step up version, I think that is an amazing price!
