Re: UO Thursday
There is a big difference in a lms and a classroom teacher who is responsible for 28 sets of graded papers for 7 subjects, create and submit lesson plans, meet parent/teacher communication expectations, maintain test prep, differentiate instruction for failing and struggling students, meet IEP's students needs, collaborate with team members etc. I would like to observe the teacher who can do all of that well and leave before 5.
I knew exactly how much less I would be paid compared to other jobs. When I stepped foot into the classroom it was never about the paycheck. It's obvious it won't ever be. What sucks is to feel under appreciated. That's my gripe.
