Re: baby name spin off
No lie, some people thought Penelope was a hideous name. Until they found out its not pronounced Pen-a-lope. Like an Antelope. who the hell would think that? stupid people.
That's the French pronunciation. More like Pen - A - lope. We had to pick a French name in French class and that was my name. I loved it!
or you could find a chinese couple and trade. i heard they perfer the boy babies in those parts.
I remember when you had Max and I told DH his middle name was Phineas and we both thought it was awesome. We are a house full of Phineas & Ferb fans.
Tammy, for baby #5, you are only allowed to pick from the following:
Hugo
Sayid
Jack
Sawyer
Jin
Sun
Kate
John
Claire
Ben
Charlie
Desmond
Michael
Juliet
Miles
Vincent (RIP pup)
Shannon
Richard
Jacob
K? K, thanks.
No #5! lol DH already bought me a Mom necklace for Christmas.
And I totally tried to have a Jack but DH wasn;t having it. I also like Desmind. But I can't have a Penny & a Desmond. Thats incest
Dying. Don't forget Boone.
WAIT!
You forgot Boone! Boone is also acceptable
Umm are you SURE? You did just win $500 to Victoria Secret.....
My little nuggets
Did he buy a pack of condoms too?
bwahahahahaha!
oww owww!! Yeah Tammy! oww owww!
Maybe when my kids get older I can adopt an Asian baby and go with Jin Sun Boone?
And how the heck can I forget about Claire? I am lololol'ing because that was the middle name we originally picked out without even thinking of LOST. hahahahaha
Chase was named after CHase Utley. The girls after Lost. Poor Andrew's name was picked out of the air. He should have been Ben Michael Sawyer Jack.
)
We are fully stocked in the condoms department. Got the value pack.
)
And surprisingly, besides some basic bras and undies, I got regular clothes. Sweater dresses, long sleeve shirts, sweat pants. I did get 1 sexy outfit and it was a JOKE. I LOfrigginL'd at it. I have like $200 worth of stuff going back because it looked ridiculous or didn't fit.
we told no one our name choices and we didn't find out what we were having with either kiddo. i love keeping people in suspense.
for both kids we were set on a girl name pretty early on but couldn't decide on a boy name. when i was pg with ds i SWORE he was a girl so we didn't really decide on a boy name. i really only liked one boy name (Timothy- my dh's name) but he didn't want a junior so we named him Timothy John but call him TJ so he's technically not a junior since dh does not have a middle name.
TJW arrived 7/28/11
Ded.
I actually love Sawyer James as a name. But now thanks to Lost Sawyer is becoming too popular.
My parents were so sick of being asked about names that they made up ridiculous names and told everyone. They kept it up so well people were worried they were serious.
My sister was Ernie Bernie N____ (last name rhymes). Boy or Girl.
I was Sigourney N______.
I plan on doing the same. Kerri Sherri M_____ and Larry Barry M_____.
I'm late to the convo here, but we will not be telling anyone (except that I just told you all my favorites). I don't want any opinions, for one. And I do like the element of surprise (self-involved or not).
Dude, the only rule is the pregnant lady makes the rules, therefore it was definitly a violation on mr.dreamings part!
If you ladies are truly looking to annoy/piss people off, might I suggest giving your son your maiden name as a middle name.
OMG, I completely lost it when I read this post. Hilarious!
Ha... we told people that we were naming our son Gorgon... with our last name, it sounds like the cheese. My favorite was when people would pause and say "oh, is that a family name?"
We gave the kid two middle names (yes we are those annoying parents) but I really wanted my last name in there and I didn't want the kid to be hyphenated. I thought the in laws were going to die at his Baptism because they call the baby by their first and middle names so the priest kept calling him Thomas Bailey D... and it made it sound like I just dropped dh's last name.
