Re: I'ts Wednesday
I survived our trip to see Santa. I will post pictures later on. The girls were very cute and excited to see him and did VERY good sitting on his lap. The picture isn't the best because the photo takers at Woodland Mall are idiots and EVERY year say "smile, smile" while the girls have an awesome smile on their face and then take it when they relax their smile. It was my fault that I didn't look that closely at the picture that I picked out. I was too annoyed at the lady to think clearly. She was being bitchy about me video taping the girls. She said I had to stand behind the ropes. I told her that I paying $35 for an overpriced photo and I'm here by myself with the kids and I'm not walking away from them. In the past I've never had them saying anything about taking photos. I figured I'm paying them for their service of providing the set and Santa Claus. I still want the candid shots of the girls walking up to Santa, talking to him and giving him a hug.
In the end the price wasn't that bad because I got a $20 giftcard to Shutterfly which will pay for our photo calendar that we always get. For $15 I got four 5x7s and the photo on memory stick.
And just to clarify, had Brian been in town today he would have met me on his lunch hour, but he will be good until early afternoon, after Carl's a.k.a Santa's shift. And with my Type A personality, I was already stressing that we hadn't got the girls pictures taken yet and didn't want to wait until next week.

I'm so glad photos worked out, GVSU. Gravity seems to impact your outings with the girls (referencing the Childrens' Museum outing).
I'm sure you got to see my little pal's form of protest sometime last week.
Jim starts a long vacation in a few hours. Because he's affiliated with CMU, the offices are shut down the 2 weeks of Christmas. While I'm thrilled to have him and Willa home for 2 whole weeks, it's going to cramp my style for a little while too.
Willa and I did a project from Pinterest last night. The post is lemon sugar scrub. I had no lemons, so...
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup olive oil
2 table spoons lime juice.
Mix, mix, mix. Put in sealable container. They call for glass, I used Rubbermaid. Keep handy near a sink. Rub a tablespoon on hands, rinse. Aaaaahhhh over the relief to winter dry hands. Repeat as desired.
That sounds very interesting. And it works well for hydrating hands? And it's not too slimey with the olive oil?
The ratio is pretty important, and you have to stir it up before each use. The sugar holds the oil. Sugar exfolioates and the oil moistures. It's not a very long term thing, as in it won't replace a need for moisturizer for hands. It feels so nice after rising hands, and my skin still feels soft.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Back when I used to have an afternoon or two off, it would bug me if XN came home early from work. Like, "hey, this is my time!"
