Awww, Snippy. That's one hell of an illness you have.
I've been awake since 4 AM. I have no idea why I can't get any sleep lately. We're leaving for MA today, so that's fun, but I have a huge list of things to get done first...post office, library, drugstore, wrapping presents...work. I can't wait to just be there and relaxing!

Today is viewing #2 of my possible house, but I have a feeling that MIL and the relator will try to talk me out of bidding on it since it's going to be a PITA to deal with the unpermitted addition and getting a loan. Grr.
Drunk Swedes get really handy, and I'm a little skeeved out by a couple of my coworkers advances. They don't quite believe in sexual harrassment here either soo. I think I'm actually going to go home. I'm exhausted and this cough won't go away and my nose is now stuffed up. Fuucking ridiculous man.

Mica-- what would you need to do to get the addition permitted and a loan, etc? Surely the sellers know it will be problematic and would be willing to help?

Morning. I'm so glad it's finally Friday.
So, I think my house is haunted. First the alien shadow, and now this. About 3am, I woke to a strange blue light coming from the foyer (right outside the bedroom). As I'm laying there trying to figure out what it is (without my glasses), I hear the theme song from 'Frosty the Snowman.'
Then I realized that the decoration on the foyer table was going off (this Frosty statue where you press his hand and it plays the song, he dances, and a snowflake thing lights up). This thing has not worked in 2 years because I never replaced the old/dead batteries. I pressed his hand when I pulled him out of the box and he didn't work, I tried last night after it went off, and nothing. I have no effing clue how it worked, let alone how it even got activated.
Add to that, a couple nights before H woke up to a knocking sound on the door, but couldn't see anyone when he looked out the window.

I got a bite splint yesterday from my dentist - I grind my teeth in my sleep and this is supposed to help. I slept with it last night for the first time. I'm discouraged because it felt WEIRD and I dreamed about it all night. And now I have a headache and I don't feel rested. But I really want to keep wearing it to stop the grinding (it wakes up H, and I've chipped a couple of teeth doing it). I hope I can get used to it.

The house is a short sale, and the bank that carries that loan has already said it's not going to put in the money to make the house permit-able. So if I love the house, I can try to bid on it but I'll have to have the cash in an escrow account to get everything done so I can convince my lender that I mean to fix the previous owner's idiocy. But I love the house! The layout is good, the kitchen is nice, and the location is fantastic. :
AK -- I had a mouth guard that I used for a couple months last year. H made me stop wearing it because it made me drool, then I'd choke on the drool in my sleep and wake both of us up coughing. Berkeley sealed the deal by chewing up the mouth guard while I was at the dentist explaining the situation. Now H wakes me up if he hears me grinding my teeth.

AK, my mouthguard took a little getting used too. I kept spitting it out in the middle of the night. But now, I can't stand sleeping without it. You can tell I still grind by the marks and holes in it, but my jaw feels so much better now because I grind less. And, it's still protecting my teeth.
So, don't be discouraged! You'll get used to it and then it will be too weird sleeping without it.

It's Friday, but I have to work tomorrow, so it's not such a happy day. Lucas comes home tonight. We think. Still waiting to hear about my loan. For some reason the application wasn't put in on Wedensday, and the processor didn't receive the loan number until after 5pm yesterday. Methinks something in the universe is trying to tell me to not even bother anymore.

That's pretty damn creepy Sesh! Even though I don't have issues with the idea of ghosts I can't say I'd like having stuff like that happen. I prefer any ghost contact to be rather minimal.
Mica - good luck with the house. H and I looked at a short sale a couple of days ago. It's perfect and half the price of similar houses built in the development, but we're just not in the position to wait for a short sale house now.
Snippy - I hope you feel better. I got your Christmas card the other day.

Morning ladies! TGIF, for real. I had a rather depressing visit to the eye doctor last night. My eyes have gotten way worse, and apparently the contacts I've been wearing are irritating them and he can tell, so I have to wear daily ones until my glasses come in. Hopefully the irritation is gone by then and he can fit me in new contacts.

oh dear, I seemed to have forgotten to change out of my judgy/grumpy pants......
