She had a DW at Disney--it was beautiful. That is how I started following her.

I think some kids just don't have the aptitude for college. Whether it is the critical thinking, talented in other ways, ability to focus or self-motivate, or just the general intelligence. Some people are better suited for other things that do not include college. My brother is the hardest worker and makes a huge impact on any job he does and is greatly appreciated by any boss he has worked for, but he could not focus on school work and study on his own. College was a miserable failure for him. His wife is very creative and was really struggling in college. She went to cosmetology school and is flourishing as a hairdresser. College is just NOT.FOR.EVERYONE.
Nesties,
DH and I are having a date night on Friday as he is leaving Saturday for a 2 week training. I'm struggling to come up with something creative (or available) for Friday. Things we like: "foodie" restaurants, wine, cooking classes, dancing, sports, fun cocktails.... Any ideas?

Dear Nesties,
What is everyone having for dinner? I'm by myself this week and I'm trying to decide if I really want to cook.
Michelle,
Central Market has some cooking classes, although I think we only ever went to one on a Friday. I know you also like musicals. It's high school musical season. Have you thought about looking into some of the area high schools to see if they're performing anything of interest? Also, I think the black and white play might be going on either in Richardson or over in Lewisville (it moves one weekend). They are very funny and it's really cool to see the make up!
I have Healthy Meal #3 in the crockpot--Enchilada Soup from skinnytaste. If I was by myself, I probably wouldn't cook. I'd just pick up Eatzi's or something. Last night I was home alone and had an Amy's pizza.
Michelle, one of my most memorable date nights with Ben was we went to dinner at Urban Taco and saw a French movie at the Angelika. It was so fun! Others: dinner at Mi Cocina in West Village, movie at Magnolia, gelato at Paciugo after or drinks at the Library.

I probably won't end up cooking for myself but I now want to try Chick Fil A's tortilla soup. We had some already cooked salmon from Central Market last week and I'm actually thinking about that too. Plus, they have like a mashed potato cupcake (that's what it looks like) so, maybe that too. I have lots of salad and spinach at home.
Oh, good ideas to think about! thanks ladies!
Julie, we are having leftovers tonight, but I'm making this in the crock pot tomorrow and it sounds delicious!
BL - I took some inspiration from your juice recipe and am going to add ginger and cucumber to my apple, orange and spinach GM tomorrow. I'm excited about it too!

I saw something that was pregrilled chicken if you wanted to add that to your salad. It was at the grocery store and I've never tried it so I have no clue how good it is.
Michelle Thanks I can see that. Now that I think of it one of my best friend's probably falls into that category. Her parents still force her to go to school, but she hates it and would rather just be a vet tech. Which she's wonderful at and would rescue every animal on earth if she could.

Dear wanna be juicers-
The Daily Deal on amazon is a juicer for today.
Dear Julie-
I'm not sure what we will be eating but I know it won't be cooked from our kitchen
Homemade fish tacos sound good though.
Dear Michelle-
I have Simply Fondue on the brain because I need to find a chocolate recipe. You might check guidelive.com. Is the FW stock show going on now?
Dear self-
I don't know why you check out the deals on travel. You are not going anywhere any time soon.
Dear Sarah-
I'm not familiar with some of this lingo and what all that means but I wish you well.
OMG, I've always wanted to go to the Mediterranean. This sounds amazing. I can't stop reading!

I know, she is a great source. She island hopped the carribean for her HM and has pics and a recap of that too.
OMG, Jaymi--Simply Fondue/Melting Pot would be a great date night too, Michelle. Another one of my favorites is sushi and cocktails. 560 has the best of both if you could swing it!

If I was ready for cooked spinach, I might try that.
