Right now, it's still a mix of hand-me-downs but I've been doing research and apparently what I really like is French Country, which is more refined and elegant than Shabby Chic...graceful curves in my furniture but not ornately carved, eclectic mix that works together of antiques (love old trunks) and newer items. A little of Pottery Barn thrown in, most obviously in changing the French Country to PB-style warm colors of dark reds, browns, golds, caramels and if it's light, then soft gray, butter yellow, and silvery-blue lavender. Medium to dark, warm-colored woods. Metals in black, gunmetal, antiqued brass, bronze and silver. Not gold.

Yes! I LOVE our formal china, Lenox Opal Innocence. If we had the space and the money, I would love to have a bunch of different sets to use as the mood strikes me like Martha Stewart does.
