Flameful confession

Re: Flameful confession

  • My confession: I am super jealous or maybe envious of my friend today.  She is going to the bridal shop where I also got my gown to try on dresses!  I am so excited for her, but 9% of me misses being the bride.  She is going to look stunning and I can't wait to see her beautiful smile when she gets a dress on.

Here's a flameful: I'm starting to resent my H for taking the job 45 mins away. I have to get driven to and from work most days and it's embarrasing. Not to mention it's hard to do my job from the office some days.I should be be grateful because the pay inrease doe help, but it just sucks sometimes.

I hate being dropped off.  I feel like my options are so limited as a result.

If I forget lunch I have to either go hungry or hope someone I know is going out and will take me.

Also, we do a lot of work at a nearby service center and i can't go because H has the car.

  • I have a confession my coworker is gone for the next three days and usually it makes sad, because we get along so well and the work all falls on me. This time it's kind of nice so I can guilt free be on here while doing some mindless task.

As much as I like most of the people here, there are really only a few I'd want to meet.  I don't think I could ever go to a big gtg because I probably wouldn't be able to hide my dislike for some people and would end up being the snotty biitch.

Agreed. I've skipped several GTGs after finding out the list of people planning to attend.

I still look on David's Bridal at their clearance dresses.  They have some for ilke $50!

I have to remember that they're just dresses and that's still out of my budget for a dress that won't frequently be worn.

In all fairness, there are a few I would not openly invite to stay at my house, and only one or two that I would prefer to never meet at all.    But, I am quite open to meeting 98% of you ladies, if for any other reason than to confirm my opinion of them in person, since not everyone has the same online tendencies/personalities as they do in person.

I am very sad that things didn't work out for me to go to the big Philly one in 2010, since there were so many ladies there that I would have loved to meet and some of them no longer come by.  Sad   It's like I missed my chance or something, but I couldn't help it the way my schedule played out that summer.

MN - I'm so sorry your vacation sucked!! Stupid bastard that hit you effed everything up!  I can't imagine trying to do a vacation on crutches.

Yeah he did! Even after it happened, I figured I'd be fine by now but I'm not.  Random people kept asking me if I got hurt in Mexico - ya know, because who the fvvck would go on vacation while on crutches?!  The answer:  someone who would never miss her best friend's wedding.  It was worth it for that, but we should've gone for a shorter time after I realized I'd still be crippled.

Although, going to the front of the security and customs lines at the airport while being pushed in a wheelchair was kinda nice.

     Great planning!

    2. Ala - I'm disappointed in you. We need updates on your ghost! We didn't know you made him Italian. How dare you.

Pretty sure I sound crazy enough most days without talking about hearing voices in the next room or objects being moved.

I don't know how you go so frequently with so little sleep.  When i was younger I'd go on about 5 hours of sleep 5 days a week, then on that 6th day sleep 12 solid hours. I don't function well without sleep. I typically because b!tchy and make really stupid mistakes

I really don't know either and sometimes it makes me really cranky when my husband gets a solid 10 hours and I wake him up (I always have to wake him up. Always.) and he complains about being tired. I want to just poke him in the eye. Hard.

I want a smart phone too, but I think only in the "Everyone has one" sense.  I don't want to pay for the smart phone, I don't want to pay for the data plan (ATT prices are outrageous) and I already have a tablet, a laptop and a semifunctioning phone. Put them all together and what do you get? A smartphone! LOL, basically I don't need one, and can't afford i, but still feel "left out"

After getting my iPod touch I now understand the love of smart phones. I thought they were completely overhyped before.

    WTH happened with Jade?

I don't think she is a good person. She is scattered. I think it's BS that she can fail testing as many times as she has and still have a possibility of doing anything even remotely medical related.

Ala - If you could move anywhere without regard  to whether you'll be able to sell your current home or get a job in the new location, where would you go (Within the US).

I say Seattle, but I'm not sure why. I love Chicago opportunities for culture. I love San Jose. We've briefly looked into Arizona as a family.

I keep trying to convince myself that it's okay to buy them and wear them as white then dye them and wear them as red.. that would make it acceptable, right? lol

    1. Knavy - I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this.  It's not an easy situation, but I don't think  here is necessarily the right place to get what you're looking for. I'm with Staza in that I can in no way relate to the situation, but I found it odd that you were almost wanting someone to flame you for your choice and instead found the (expected) support (You said after many comments.. it was okay for anyone to go against you). What's with that?

Confession: I like when the husband isn't working. For incredibly selfish reasons.  He doesn't feel as good about himself and money is tight, but my house is more clean and i don't have to clean it.  He does the dishes; he vacuums the floors; I still do the laundry, but he does everything else.

If he was working, I'd probably spend the supplemental income on someone to clean the house.  This is how much I hate cleaning, but it seems to be mostly to do with having to clean up after someone elses mess.  Before I lived with him I lived in a borderline OCD home.  Everything had a place and it looked incredibly good in that place.

Hallows - If I were in your shoes, I probably would never say anything about the neighbors.  It's part of living in an apartment.  You are wanting to move anyway, sounds like now would be a good time.

  • Also, it seems like all these online bill pay supporters are not truthful when they say it saves money.   Maybe it saves paper and time, but it doesn't save money when a postage stamp costs less than 60 cents and the company that wants my money wants to charge $10 or even up to $25 to pay it online.    Convenience isn't worth that much, sorry.    I'll kill a tree and mail a check to you people rather than pay $15 for you to process my electronic payment.

I totally busted out my wedding binder when my BFF came over a week ago!  It was fun looking back.  Although, it did make me wish that we had waited perhaps another year because we could have really had our 100% dream wedding instead of our 97% dream wedding. But, in the long run, that is not what it is all about and I am so glad that I have happy, healthy marriage instead.

    Ala,

Once I hit my goal weight should I maintain or choose a new goal. In 5'6 147 trying to get to 140.  If I did choose a new goal or would probably be 130-135.

I'd say maintain the weight and make a new goal for a different area of your life that will challenge you..

After that goal is accomplished maybe set a new goal that is health related again. Not necessarily weight related, but maybe training for something or trying new classes or something.

    Keep it varied and interesting!

This probably makes me sound like an old lady,  but I would love to learn how to knit.

Yep, I enjoy my marriage.. but it sucks that it's the only wedding I'll ever have and I have zero good pictures of it.

I'm photo obsessed and rely on them to remind me of all the good stuff.

  • KNavy, I just wanted to say I'm sorry you're in that situation. There really is no one right answer and ultimately, just know that you have to do what's right for you, what will help you heal rather than hold you back. I will say that cutting out my family member made me feel better because I no longer had to be in his presence; I felt safer, and that helped, despite the other relationships that were lost as a result.

My Confession - I kind of want to see the latest Twilight movie. And I am not a Twilight fan at all (haven't read the books, but did see the first awful movie). But the vampire baby and birth have intrigued me. I will never admit this in person.
