If you have kids...

Re: If you have kids...

  • My daughter is only 18 months, but her MDO teachers have asked us to bring Valentines on Monday.  So, since 18 month olds won't give two hoots about Valentines, but they do love Goldfish, I'm doing something like this:

It's from Pinterest and here is the original link, with printable tags:

I was planning on buying plain old Valentines card from Target.....do people not do this anymore?? This is the first year his teachers asked parents to bring them since the class is having a party, he is almost two.
They asked us to as well and this is all I plan on doing.

You know where I stand on valentines.  I think it's crazy that schools are asking parents to bring something valentines specifically.  Valentines were always something you did if you wanted to.   So on Tuesday we will get a ton of crap that will go right to the trash since C won't eat any of it.  Maybe I'll give it away to the kids in the neighborhood.

His class is having a party today that I'm okay with sort of, but individual valentines on top of that- ehhh

Like lauroura, I'm doing these.  For some reason they crack me up every time I look at them.

  • Well now I feel bad because I wasn't planning on doing anything.  As far as I know Cooper's school isn't having a party and no one has mentioned doing class valentines.  I guess I need to find out if the rest of the moms in his class are bringing anything. Sigh.  Slacker mom here.
My big boy is bounding towards 3! Hoping to add a sibling. image Hipster dog is not impressed.
  • Here's another cute idea, especially for boys.

  • I bought a stack of ones from target and Noah is going to color in them  I just don't have time to do the crafty ones at the moment. I did get some heart shaped lollipops and dinosaurs to put on them. Dinosaurs just because he decided what he wanted to stick on the cards! lol!

I love how crafty all of you are!!

This is what roughly 90% of the 30 kids in my 5 yos class will bring.

At my younger son's MDO, there are 6 kids. I bet the girl moms will do something crafty and the boy moms will send store bought cards.

See if you can find some train ones that say "I choo-choo-choose you!"

but then ralph would fall in love with her...

  • Joshua is taking store bought cards and sweet tarts.  He did write all of his classmates' names on the cards.

  • I pinned all kinds of cute stuff but I ended up doing store-bought cards and baggies with convo hearts, a sticker, and bubbles.

  • I've always done store bought ones - DD picked ones with tattoos in them the last 2 years. This year I bought Fun Dip ones.

I'm making dessert for the party though, which will probably be marshmallow pops I saw on pinterest.
