1) If you're married, what kind of food did you serve at your reception?
We had a sit down dinner with a choice of beef in red wine sauce or chicken. I can't remember any if the sides.
2) If you're married, did you say your vows or repeat after the officiant? Did you write your vows? We repeated. I didn't want to have to worry about writing the vows or forgetting them
3) Do you think it is weird to celebrate St Patricks's Day even if you aren't Irish? Nope. But I love celebrations of all kinds.

3) Do you think it is weird to celebrate St Patricks's Day even if you aren't Irish?
Nope...everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day!
4) How do you feel about capers?
Not a fan
1) If you're married, what kind of food did you serve at your reception?
Nothing special, really. We had passed apps during the cocktail hour that sounded great but I didn't get to have any because we were taking pics. Lunch (we had an early afternoon wedding) was some kind of chicken and beef, potatoes, veggies (all buffet) and the most delicious wedding cake ever. That was the best part but, again, we didn't get any because we were making the rounds. Man, we totally got the shaft didn't we? I need a do-over!
2) If you're married, did you say your vows or repeat after the officiant? Did you write your vows?
We repeated after our officiant but we also wrote our own special vows to say to one another.
3) Do you think it is weird to celebrate St Patricks's Day even if you aren't Irish?
I honestly don't even know what the real meaning of the day is. I see it as a chance for people to get drunk. That's about it.
4) How do you feel about capers?
Love them!

2) If you're married, did you say your vows or repeat after the officiant? Did you write your vows? Repeated after him, we had a hand in writing them.

1) If you're married, what kind of food did you serve at your reception?
yummy food! Of course I can't remember everything now, but some of the stuff I do remember... for specialtini martinis, we had a pumpkin martini and an espresso one. One of the passed apps was butternut bisque shots. The salad had goat cheese and berries. For entrees, we had lamb chops in a pear-red wine reduction with fingerling potatoes, or salmon with a pineapple teryiaki sauce over sweet potato pancakes. Our cake was from a bakery called Wholly Cannolli and it was their chocolate caramel cannolli cake: chocolate cake brushed with caramel, layered with cannolli filling and iced in italian chocolate whipped frosting and ganache. (Love that cake - we've had it for many birthday parties since then!)
2) If you're married, did you say your vows or repeat after the officiant? Did you write your vows?
In Jewish weddings, the vows are actually not a required part of the ceremony. Our rabbi said we could write vows to say and they could be inserted in the ceremony. We did write vows, told him we wanted to say them, and he forgot!
3) Do you think it is weird to celebrate St Patricks's Day even if you aren't Irish?
no.
4) How do you feel about capers?
yum!
1) If you're married, what kind of food did you serve at your reception? Brunch. Complete with pastry table and omelette station.
2) If you're married, did you say your vows or repeat after the officiant? Did you write your vows? Man, I don't even remember. I think it was traditional, we definitely did not recite our own voes.
3) Do you think it is weird to celebrate St Patricks's Day even if you aren't Irish? Yes. I'm not overly fond of the contrivance of beer, leprechuans and all things green (Shamrock Shake anyone???
)
4) How do you feel about capers? They are okay lightly sprinkled in a piccata or cioppino.
1) We had a delicious pecan crusted chicken with a roasted red pepper sauce, orzo, and green beans with toasted almonds. Dessert was the cake.
2) Repeat after officiant, did not write our own. I really like the traditional vows and not a fan of writing your own.
3) No, but I do think it's weird for people to wear "kiss me I'm Irish" if you're not. I guess its just an excuse to drink.
4) Take 'em or leave 'em. I don't mind if they're in a dish I order, but I've never cooked with them
1) If you're married, what kind of food did you serve at your reception?
Apple sage stuffed pork loin with oven roasted baby-reds and mixed veggies. It sounds basic but it was seriously good. The chef at the reception hall is so creative with how he spices up "boring" dishes.
2) If you're married, did you say your vows or repeat after the officiant? Did you write your vows?
Repeated
3) Do you think it is weird to celebrate St Patricks's Day even if you aren't Irish?
Nah
4) How do you feel about capers?
Love them!
Soo late replying.. but heck I am bored.
1) If you're married, what kind of food did you serve at your reception? Salmon, Chicken, pasta, Omg.. I forget...it was so much.
2) If you're married, did you say your vows or repeat after the officiant? Did you write your vows? We wrote our own vows.
3) Do you think it is weird to celebrate St Patricks's Day even if you aren't Irish? No. I have a leprechaun outside my door
4) How do you feel about capers? I don't. I am indifferent towards them.
this wife bakes.
One of my favorite cakes ever! I had a blast making this..all handmade with buttercream suds!!!!
1) If you're married, what kind of food did you serve at your reception? I don't remember at all. I just know my husband made the photographer stop so I could grab some cheese. I REALLY wanted cheese and was being pushed into all these different photo opts. I found it really cute of him to do that.
2) If you're married, did you say your vows or repeat after the officiant? Did you write your vows? Repeated after our officiant (my brother).
3) Do you think it is weird to celebrate St Patricks's Day even if you aren't Irish? Not at all. Another excuse to have some fun!
