Ndr everyone is pregnant

Re: Ndr everyone is pregnant

  • I haven't read everyone's responses yet, but try not to worry to much about it.  It is hard when you feel left out in that department, especially when everyone around you who is pg or has a baby looks at you and says "Sooo......are you next?" like it's expected of you to have a baby just because everyone else is on that road.  Trust me, you will be SO happy you waited.  And when you look back once you have a baby, you'll think, "Wow, I couldn't imagine having a baby at that time in our lives."

  • I'm pregnant after 2 miscarriages at the start of my grad program...many of my friends had children about 7-10 years ago.  I have a variety of friends married with kids, single, married no children.

We are expecting our first now but had several years of just us and travel I wouldn't trade it for anything. When things changed it happened quickly, promotion, house, car, grad school and pregnancy...somethings or in my case most things you can't plan

  • Thanks for the encouragement!

  • I think one of the biggest issues with feeling left out is other people's perceptions. Like, DH and I-we are married for almost 7 years, no kids. People just assume that we should have or want to have 3 kids by now. We don't.
  • It is definitely true this year--I don't know if it's the that the economy is improving, people got tired of waiting for the economy to improve, or maybe everyone just wants Dragon babies, but everyone is pregnant.

Not me and I don't care to be, so I guess there are a few holdouts;)
