    I am the Lee that Gina is referencing in her blog post. I have been reading these posts and I am really appalled by some of the comments. WE ARE THE VICTIMS HERE. These blog posts were not written because we had bad service. We complained to the restaurant and grub hub about. If it had ended there we would have quietly stopped patronizing them and that would be it. This is about the fact that they violated our privacy by posting our address on twitter! It is not because Gina is entitled or full of herself. The only entitlement we claim is that of decent customer service. I went back a 3rd time because I believe in patronizing local independent businesses (because I own one myself) and giving people a chance when they make mistakes. Have you ever heard of 3 strikes? I think some of you need to take the time to fully read through Gina?s blog post instead of half- way glancing at it and making comments that don?t make sense.  

    Clearly you have not actually read this thread.  Not one poster suggested that the restaurant had any justification for tweeting your address.  It gets even harder to be sympathetic to you (the VICTIMS) when you come on this site (The Nest?  Really?) to bolster your POV.  And it gets even harder to be sympathetic after reading this tweet from your very own feed:

    No. Grub Hub is a web site that collects the menus from lots of local restaurants (most of which don't have the capability to order online without it) and processes your orders but the restaurants themselves deliver the food. I used to use CampusFood until they were bought out by Grub Hub recently but I've had very good experiences with Grub Hub so far (see my anecdote earlier in the thread about their response to our screwed up order).

    Ditto - it's like seamlessweb, from what I understand. I used it ALL the time in NY, and occasionally here in VA.

    Restaurants generally give the service estimated delivery times, and then the service passes those estimates delivery times onto the customer. I've definitely had times in the past, though, where it's been up to twice as long as the estimate. And, yes, I was just as "hangry" as Gina was. And contacted Seamless, and the restaurant. Generally without fail, Seamless was more willing to help out.

    And, honestly, if I'd been treated the way Gina and Lee were treated, and had I been tweeting at the time, I would have definitely tweeted some snarky comments.

    I do have to wonder though why if it was truly that crazy that it wouldn't be assumed that delivery would take a longass time.

    As I'm following this thread this is exactly my thought.  The first time - yeah, that sucked.  the second time - St.Patty's Day - when Chicago is so bad you cant leave your house?  She was surprised that the delivery was going to take 90 minutes or ended up taking 90 minute or whatever?  They dont have a magical plane that can fly the food to her house over the apparently insane traffic, people, parking issues, and everything else.

    I live in a city.  Street parking is a major issue. so I completely get not wanting to leave your house on an especially busy day in that city.  But why is it assumed the delivery will be timely? you know from past experience that this place is slow and not very prompt and all the other issues. Why expect it to be different on such an insane day in Chicago?

    I dont have a problem with the tweeting on the part of GinaB or her reaction after the third incident, but I think the St. Patty's Day one deserves a pass. Either the city is insane that day or it isn't. And if it's insane, it is insane for all involved.

    The restaurant was 100% out of line to post their private information though (which, heads up to Gina, Lee et al - everyone in this thread agrees on that point.)

    I have to say though, I don't think what the business did was all that terrible, it crossed a line FOR SURE. But this attitude of OMG we are VICTIMS of this TRAVESTY!!!!!!11111111!!! is not merited. These people twitter as themselves and not under anonymous names, right? It's not as if "Flavor 180" outed their secret internet identities to the world. They stupidly posted their address then deleted it. And these people want this business to die mother f*cker die!

    I don't know. Seems like an extreme response.

    And somewhere Kony 2012 IS STILL OUT THERE!!! Let's keep our internet outrage in perspective people!
