Video of Zimmerman after shooting shows no cuts, bruises

You have to watch this video. Tell me if this is a man who just had his head bashed into the sidewalk. Where is the broken nose? Where is the gash on the back of his head? Is he walking like a man who needs to go to the hospital?

Re: Video of Zimmerman after shooting shows no cuts, bruises

  • It is a little fuzzy, but IMO it does not look like there is a gash requiring stitches on the back of his head like his attorney was going around saying. There also does not appear to be any bandages on his nose, face, head or anywhere else.

Does anyone see blood on his tshirt? I can't say I see any.

Would like to see an enhanced version of the video.

  • I was just about to post this, watching it on AC right now.

That ends a theory or two.

There's not a mark on him. Apparently he has Wolverine's healing factor.
  • A broken nose, cut lip, and head gash would bleed profusely.

    Dude looks fine.

Also, the cops would have insisted he go to the hospital unless they were completely negligent, if any of those things had happened.

  • There is nothing about this man that shows he was just in a life-threatening fight.

  • I have never heard of someone breaking their nose without blood. Don't broken noses typically produce black eyes as well?

    wow

    Seriously.  This is unbelievable.

  • He's got some magic Harry Potter healing cream.

I think what gets me most about the video is he almost has a swagger to him.  If I'd just shot and killed a kid, even in self defense, I would be so shaken up I probably wouldn't be able to walk.

Thought it was just me, but I noticed this also.

It's possible to break your nose without getting a black eye or even bleeding that much.  I broke mine in a biking accident (it did bleed profusely that time), and when they X-rayed it they found another healed break that I didn't even know about, probably from playing softball.

A cut requiring stitches on the back of the head, however, would bleed like a sonofabitch, I think.

  • Yeah, head wounds are kind of known for their bleeding.  The very first stitches I ever took out were from a back of the head gash that was theoretically healed.  That *** still bled like a mofo.

Yes. Head wounds generally bleed profusely. When my husband took a hit to the side of his head with a bat when he was mugged, he soaked an entire shirt with blood. He ended up only needing a few stitches, but yeah, it bled like crazy.

  • If his nose was broken, wouldn't an x-ray show that, even now?

I still like the pundit's comment that even if you want to take the racial aspect out of it, Zimmerman is still a neurotic a$$hole.  We can add stupid and liar to that.  I read that the town is so racist that there is a bar there that blah people can only order liquor through a window--can't actually come in.

Possible, sure, but more of the exception than the rule. I think someone who got a broken nose from being repeatedly punched would probably have blood. In fact, that would cause blood even if it wasn't broken in my total non-doctor-but- have-2-sons-who-crash-a-lot opinion.

And absolutely on the head gash. I hit my head on a radiator in middle school. I didn't even need stitches and it bled like I was some sort of hemophiliac.

    image
  • I'll give him the nose, but there's no way in hell that someone whose head was bashed into the sidewalk wouldn't be bleeding and/or have a visible injury.
    image
  • I've seen people who've tripped and fallen who looked more beat up.

Also, dear ABC, when you are posting video that it showing a suspect in a murder case that claims his head was all banged up, maybe don't slap your logo smack in the middle of the screen and obscure his face for half of it.

  • Where are the people who were convinced that some altercation happened?  What do they have to say about this?  I'd say it's pretty damning, but I don't know if they'd see it that way.  They were talking about how many witnesses said Zimmerman was attacked, so does this convince them that those witnesses were lying?

I think some of those people are going to hang onto his story like a dog on a bone. Just read the comments on that page.

  • I make it a rule not to read comments.  It's better for my blood pressure.

Definitely don't break your rule here then.

  • Too late.  I wonder if it redirects to my local page b/c it shows the logo of my local abc station, and there were only 16 comments, all pretty nice.

There was even one pointing out that there were no grass stains like a witness claimed, a detail I'd forgotten about.

  • I don't have an opinion one way or another on this story.  I'm trying to stay out of it until I know all of the facts, probably because this case sounds a lot like one that happened in my own hometown two years ago.  It was a police officer who shot a young woman and her son during a house raid, a serious racial war started in our town, Al Sharpton even showed up for funerals.  In the end, when all the details surfaced, the cop was doing his job.  His poor family was receiving death threats and his children had to leave their school.  It was a mess and if I learned anything from it all it was that people need to remember to give people the benefit of the doubt until they know all of the details.

I watched the video and it looks to me like one cop is inspecting the back of his head around the 50 second mark.  At the minute mark, when he's walking to the door, I feel like I can see a small scar on the back of his head - like it's been stitched.  Did this video happen after he went to the hospital?  That might account for a lack of blood.  He could have already been cleaned up.

Like I said, I don't have an opinion either way.  I think it's a tragedy that a young life was lost and hope that justice will be served.

  • No grass stains, no blood, no visible wounds. His clothing is neat. This guy didn't get into a fight.

Not only that, but Trayvon would have had evidence from his hands from punching a guy. You don't hit someone hard enough in the face to break their nose to not leave some damage to your hands.

A big old middle finger to you, stupid Nest.
  • For a 5'9" guy, Zimmerman doesn't look to be very close to 250 either.  Such a strange amount of misinformation.  Unless my eyes are failing me badly here.
  • That guy is a piece of shiit.  How could anyone look at that and believe his story for a second?

No medical treatment was given at this point. This was immediately after the incident.

Like I said, I haven't been paying attention to it all much.  Was he seen by EMTs on the scene or something?  Would they have cleaned him up and stitched him there?

If not, there goes my theory.  I'll go back to staying out of it all until all details are made clear.
