Probably flameful: This board sucks now

The pinning thing was annoying to me, and MWC described exactly why.  But we told the nest we were unhappy and they stopped doing it within a day or two.  So I don't really get the big deal.

I also agree with MWC that the format of the new board sucks asss, which, oddly, keeps me from posting there as often as I might otherwise.

Also, I miss lurkers and random question-askers.  It was nice to be able to help newer cooks out.

THIS   I hate the format of the new board!!

My nest local defected as well to a private board because the new format (which still isn't used on the national boards) was so awful and the nest was doing nothing to fix it.  I generally think TPTB at the nest are pretty bad and non-responsive, so leaving was sparked by the Pinterest thing, but it was the culmination of a lot of frustration for me.

I still post things here when I have something to say, but I am much more active on proboards.

If you want these boards not to "suck," why not post something interesting and non-sucky instead of complaining about it...

Just about all of this applies to me.  Whether it's an "overreaction" or not, I don't think it really matters - people have a right to post whatever they want, wherever they want, however they are comfortable.  If someone only wants to post BUs here it doesn't affect my life.

I noticed that many lurkers came out after the proboards board was created...why weren't those people posting before?  Again, it's a matter of comfort and everyone's individual decision, but then there isn't really room to complain about it.

  • It sucked before now.  And I wish you would have told me how much you loved my blog before I left.  Bloggers love comments.
  • I stop by the pro boards, because I like the privacy. I also like this board too, like Bridget - I really like helping out newer cooks and I also love learning new things from people.

I haven't been posting on either lately because school/starting a new business/ life's drama has pulled me away from almost everything including my blog.

Post more! Lurkers don't be afraid! It's a public domain! Ask questions and answer posts, it will help keep the board alive.
