Could you live in this place?

http://baltimore.craigslist.org/apa/2976057169.html

I could put a bed in the loft, right?  And it would be better than finding random roommates?

The day I left was just my beginning.

Re: Could you live in this place?

  • Yes, it's cute.

Just make sure you have a comfortable couch for the nights you are intoxicated and can't get up the ladder.  ;P

  • yep!

I really like it actually.  But to be honest - I dream of being a minimalist.

  • most definitely.  i had a place a bit like this once.  it was great.  i felt like one of those uber efficient european types living in a little ikea floor model.

lack of roommates is always good, especially since you have a real job and plenty of local friends.

    kiss it, nest.
  • HELL YEA.

    That is really cool!

    Signed,

My roommate is my landlord and all the toilets in the house have been broken for at least two weeks now

  • i could.  i like it. roommates are great if they are awesome.  but you can't find that out until you live with them.  and if i was living alone, i don't see any reason why i would need an enclosed bedroom.  I like the idea of the loft, so that the bed isn't in your kitchen (as it is in most studios).

  • I think it's cute.... Are you still at your parents? If so then definitely yes.

  • I could. I like it a lot (in spite of the tiny kitchen).

The ladder to the loft would be difficult if tipsy.

  • I just emailed.

I am still at my parents.  I'd have to get a part-time job to afford this.  Angry  But I think it would be worth it.

So do I.  I'm intrigued by really small living spaces!

The only thing that bugs me is the kitchen.  I realize it's perfect for that space, but wow, is that TINY.  The only counter space is in the corner!

  • I could live there, and I would live there. I've lived in a 450 sqft bachelor pad and it was kind of nice actually, it forces you to be ruthless with clutter and spending!
  • Yes!

I lived a studio in college.  What you posted is so much better because your bedroom is not on show for anyone that comes over.

  • Yep. I love Fells Point.

  • Totally!

Buy an ikea coffee table you won't care about, and that way you can sit in front of the tv and use that area as your prep space.  That's what I did when I lived somewhere itsy bitsy and it worked fine.

Seriously, people. If your faith in humanity is destroyed because your parents told you there was a Santa Claus and as it turns out there is no Santa Claus, you are an ignorant, hypersensitive cry baby with absolutely zero perspective. - UnderwaterRhymes
  • It is a bit small, but it could do.
  • The only issue is if you are klutzy and think you might fall off the ladder. 650 sounds like plenty of space for one. The kitchen doesn't look that much smaller than the one dh and I had in nyc. You can do some prep on a table instead of that back counter.
  • I would love it. I also like that they allow pets, but I couldn't imagine having even a small dog in that tiny place.
