Re: NDR: Missing my son today - he would be 25 : (PIPs)
My prayers are with you, Diane. I watched my sister grieve when her 26 year old son was murdered. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. I cannot begin to imagine her pain or yours. It will be 4 years for us on May 29. We don't have closure either and probably never will.
Google the lyrics to a song called Hosanna by Hillside United, or better yet, listen to it. It is beautiful. I imagine that song was written for him as he walked from earth into eternity. It gives me comfort. I hope it will do the same for you.
Try to get through each day by remembering that even though we don't understand God's plan, His ways are perfect and His plan is eternal. If we humans would have designed the life of Christ, we certainly would not have designed it to end the way it did. But God designed it, and we know it was perfect. He lost His Son too. He knows your pain and He is weeping with you. I pray He gives you comfort and peace beyond our human understanding.
Also, I've met many, many wonderful people that are going through the same thing we are. There are tons of online support sites. Find one. It's good to talk to people that have been through it and understand.
