Aka the most awesome accent ever
Everyone has an accent!
I have a California-Midwest-Southern accent.
I talk funny.
when i'm here in TN, i hear about what a northeastern accent i have. when i go home to CT, my parents lament my new southern drawl.
so, i have no idea wtf i sound like
See my initial post for reference.
Yes you do!
lol
I don't think so, but when we moved to Boston a few people told me I have a southern accent.
I do not have a southern accent. At all.

I have a slight french canadian accent, but I think it is really a Montreal accent. DH says he can't hear my accent (he is native english speaking and from here), but maybe he is just being nice?
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
I grew up in Ohio, and used to have a northern Ohio "A". I dated a guy from NYC (long distance) in HS and he always made fun of that.
It's softened, though, from living in CA and CO. I have a pretty neutral American accent now. I wouldn't have to do any voice training if, say, I was inclined to get into radio.

I'm from NJ and I have been told I do. It is most obvious with certain words like talk, dog, water, etc.
HA!
I grew up on the east coast and was always told I was accent-less.
I've lived in the Midwest for... A while now, and haven't noticed a change. But people here ask where I'm from (implying not here), and when I go back east now people say I talk funny.
Usually, no.
But sometimes I have this weird Chicago/Wisconsin hybrid accent that people raise an eyebrow at.
No, but at the GTG I was told I have a voice for recording erotic literature.
Is that an accent?
Dude. I got all tingly earlier when I called you back and got your VM message. lol

I was told, when we moved to Michigan, that I had an "Ohio twang." I am absolutely sure, that I do not. Go spend some time in Lucasville, or Nelsonville, and *then* we'll talk "Ohio twang."
I was trying to make nice w/ the girl who told me this (I was the new girl at work) or I would have said something about how the fact that I don't draw out my "ea" sounds, and speak through my nose like a true Michigander, does not mean I have a twang.
Natalie, however, is starting to pick up a bit of a drawl. Ten has become teeun. H and I can't bring ourselves to correct it, because hearing it in her little munchkin voice is just too funny.
