Tell me all the things I need to know about being pregnant....
Re: Tell me all the things I need to know about being pregnant....
Congratulations! Be wary of the bump. They're nutso. (Zomg speed bumps will make my baby fall out!)
Everything else has been covered, so congrats again!
There is no such thing as "normal" when it comes to pregnancy. Everyone's is different. That's pretty much the most important thing to know. So when people ask if you're showing, why you aren't showing, why you are so big/small, carrying that way, pimply, clear skinned, sick in the morning, sick in the evening, not sick at all, tired, energetic, feeling the baby, not feeling the baby and whatever the hell else they think they're entitled to know, feel free to tell them to *** off.
Also, I can't recommend regular exercise enough. Not everyone can, but I worked out up until the week I gave birth. (Swimming, in particular, is really good during pregnancy.) It got me through/helped me avoid the fatigue of the first trimester, the constipation of the second trimester and the bloating of the third trimester.
Oh! And you can wear pretty much whatever you want from the seventh trimester on. No one challenges the fashion choices of a pregnant woman. Leggings are awesome.

Congrats!
If you aren't already taking prenatal vitamins run out and get some now. They sell them everywhere and I'm fairly sure they're all pretty much the same.
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
I already have an appointment with him on the 10th, and they're still in the process of adjusting my insulin now.
This.
I'm only 8 weeks and i want to punch people. Tired. Queasy. Cranky. Headaches. And there's pretty much shiit you can do about it.
Congrats! It looks like everyone else covered all the important stuff, but I wanted to throw this in here. GET THIS:
And use it every day. I'm serious. I am really prone to stretch marks (I have them on my hips and thighs from when I hit puberty) but I did not get one single stretch mark during pregnancy, and I attribute it to this lotion. It is super cheap, but it feels really nice and it doesn't stink. I know everyone says that there's nothing you can do for stretch marks and that you're either going to get them or you're not, but I swear to you that this lotion is why I didn't get them.
Oh, and I highly recommend working out as much as possible. I know that it will be the last thing you want to do some days (especially in first tri) but you should really try to do something, even if it's just going for a walk. It will help a LOT with the yucky pregnancy symptoms, and it will also make your labor and delivery a lot easier.
You're gonna rock this, it's not as bad as what people will make you think, and being a mom is the best thing ever
Aw congrats!!
