Moms: What is the average price of outfits for your kids?
I have an outfit I purchased for the girls that I'm thinking of returning. They were $38 each or whatever that is doubled, lol. You expect to do math, yeah, no.
Oh fine, $76, right?
Re: Moms: What is the average price of outfits for your kids?
$5 for the outfit, lol. I buy a year ahead when stuff is on clearance at Target. So we're talking $2 jeans, $1.50 shirts, etc.
But for birthdays, Christmas, Easter, etc - I usually drop about $30 on a nice smocked dress. But again, I buy a year ahead when they aren't $60+.
I should return. *kicks can*
I did order $4 Ts from ON today, so there's that. I am officially shopping at ON. But I still want special pricey outfits for them to wear for everyday use too.
$5. I don't spend a lot on kid's clothes, especially for Edith, because she plays really hard. And we live in a pretty decently wealthy area, so I can get really good stuff at Goodwill for nothing. And for the first three years of her life, she wore mostly hand me downs from our niece. I doubt I've spent $200 on clothes for her in four years.
Everything Freddie owns has either been a gift or a hand me down. He's wearing a sleeper from MissyNY right now
Always new shoes though. Shoes are important.
I think you should start buying their clothes from nordstrom. They have a cash back policy that can be very advantageous to you
What's the percentage?
Does it only apply to full-price items?
Ah. I am not feeling so...determined as I was the other night.
Escape doesn't feel like it would be so much a victory as a defeat.
Not that there's been some turn aorund, although H was better this weekend, he certainly had moments where I wanted to scream, loudly.
I believe in hand me downs and the outlet mall, with a few sales and consignment store purchases thrown in for good measure. She is also an only grandchild and my parents visited friends all over the place last year (smocked dresses and hand crocheted cardigans galore).
At 18 months I've spent maybe $200 on clothes during her whole lifetime. She grows out of stuff fast.
Why is that, exactly?
So obviously my spending is out of sync with the rest of you. The first year I didn't spend much, but since the girls have turned one I've spent a good chunk of change on clothes. I hardly anything on myself though. I am a supreme cheapo in regards to myself. D's clothes I try and get on sale. I got a nice Boden T on sale and only paid thirteen something for it. I did splurge on this cute T though:

I got it a bit on sale and paid nineteen bucks, I think.
I'm probably going to bed now. So tired. *yawns* Night all.
Aesthetics. There are some cute things I am willing to spend dough on.
Cases in point:

The bunny dress and the bird dress. I had a 25% off coupon--buy 3 and get a fourth for a $1.
$25-30, because I'm obsessed with baby clothes, and I buy DS high quality basics an cheap tops. I think the most I've ever paid is a total of...$70? For an outfit for dd.
Outfit for everyday wear- under $6 for the shirt and under $10 for the pants, he mostly lives in Oshkosh and at the outlets you can get some pretty great deals plus their coupons. I go a little nuts on shirts whenever they have their $5 and under sales.
If he needs an outfit for pictures I will spend a little more on the shirt but not much more. I also did buy him two Gap junk food shirts earlier this year, I think they were under $15 a piece. They are great for when he is in a crap mood in the morning, "oh look, your buzz shirt!" Yay, everyone is happy again.
Daycare is SO exhausting!

I hate it when I'm right.

See, I'm the opposite and this is an area of guilt I have when it comes to being a mother. S is always in cute clothes, few of them I've actually bought because I have awesome friends who give me all of their pricey hand me downs. And even if they didn't, I'd still buy him really cheap clothes because he grows so fast. Meanwhile, I am very well dressed and spend a lot on my clothes. But I'll be wearing mine for years and years, this is how I justify it.
?
$10-$15, including shoes. I love consignment stores and garage sales. I stocked up on a bunch of shirts for a quarter at a garage sale last weekend. I'd never be able to afford to pay full price for all the Carters and Children's Place clothes that I can get from garage sales/second hand stores.
I raid the Target and Walmart clearance racks too.
Am I uneducated on this aspect of AB's life? Why does she need to launder money? AB, can you not just buy whatever you want?

She was going to leave her husband but she's going to tough it out now for the Janie & Jack outfits and Whole Foods trips.
