Hate is too strong a word I think. There are people that I very strongly dislike, but I think it would take someone doing something horrible to me or someone I loved to actually make me hate them.

I don't hate people, but there is a wife of H's friend that I greatly despise. We've spent less and less time with them over the last few years.

Yes, there's one person in my life I truly hate. Hate. And I've hated her for years. I wish I could overcome it, but I can't. And I agree, it does take a lot of energy to hate someone but I can't stop, lol.

I hate momentarily and then move on. TIt tkes a lot of energy to actively hate on an onging basis!

I am very close to hating various people day to day so I am no saint.

Not really.  I bandy the term about, but don't really feel all that strongly.  I dislike some people and would probably tell them off if I were to come across them.  But I don't care enough to hate.

oh yeah, i hate a lot of people.  i think you guys are doing it wrong.  the people i hate make it really easy to do so.  no energy expended on my part!

Hm.  I hate lots of folks.  Doesn't bother me one bit.  I find it can be rather invigorating at times.  I'm a sociopath, aren't I?

I've never hated ANYONE until my BIL's girlfriend came along...

Yes. I hate my mother. I do not understand how she can repeatedly be so terrible and cruel to the people she supposedly loves most in the world. She is a manipulator, liar, and down right mean person. It's amazing the psychological damage she had inflicted on the five other people in the house and it infuriates me. Try and tell her, and she'll come back to why she's the victim in the scenario...or pretty much every scenario in life.

I do hate her. I love the rest of my family so much, but I feel like I realized at such an early age that she was evil. I remember as a little girl protecting my younger sister from the woman's wrath and hand. Not much has changed over 25 years later.

I guess if depends on the defintion of "in your life".

There is someone that I hate with the fire of a thousand suns, but he isn't "in my life" as I purposly exclude him.
