Re: Obama's Personality
Oh yea, he is definitely called arrogant because most of " those people" must be racists. Oh wait...he is half white. He is definitely not considered arrogant due to what comes out of his mouth AT ALL . I mean he plays basketball with his sleeves rolled up and gives fist bumps...he must be JUST LIKE ME AND LOVE ME SO MUCH. Good grief.
I don't think Biden or Ryan are attractive. Neither of them, not even a little.
I would argue that Palin is far more attractive than Biden. Did McCain/Palin win in 2008? No? So the appearance of the VP probably doesn't make a lick of difference.
And yes, of course I'm aware that for some people appearance makes a big difference in who they vote for, but I also don't consider those people to be terribly intelligent. People who vote on superficial issues instead of important ones are missing the point.
I also think it's funny that people consider the Democrats an embarrassment. You're the envy of the world with this incredible president you have right now, which is a big change from the previous eight years when the world was laughing at America.
I think Obama is incredibly likable and well-spoken.
I thought Bush was likable enough, but sounded like a mumbling idiot.
Is "haughty" another way of saying "uppity"?
I don't think so at all! If you actually watched his show regularly you would see that a lot of guests (and himself) poke fun at his "food obsession". So the comment was don't encourage him to so gorge..at least that's the way I got it. It was in good fun. Gabby is a kid if she didn't see it as so it's only because of her youth.
I like his personality. I think the it makes him more likeable and "real". Also he is VERY easy to imitate which makes for fun parties.
Holla!
If we had royals, I'd also totally want them to be running around naked in Vegas just like the rest of us.
Actually it does not matter that he is half white everyone see's him as black.
So he fist bumps and plays basketball he is not aloud to do normal things? It wouldn't matter what he did because of his half black there will alway's be people like you out there judging. Pathetic really.

Out of curiosity, does Romney come across as approachable and down to earth for you? Because to me he is the picture of arrogant guy born with silver spoon in his mouth who thinks he is better than the "little people". His wife is even worse.
I don't get that vibe at all based on the way in which he speaks or carries himself at all. Their style of clothing is a bit too preppy for my liking (I actually look and dress alternative) but other than that, to me, they seem like honest, approachable people.
Biden has a long line of gaffes. The worst was when he accused a driver of being impaired; it was when his wife was killed in an accident. He says a lot of stupid things, but somehow he's excused because "that's just Joe." I'm still waiting for the "That's just (fill in the conservative name here)" as an excuse.
I don't think Obama got elected based on personality as much as he was a blank slate on which people could project their hopes and dreams. He made them feel better about themselves---hey, look at me, I voted for a minority. He was the hip and cool one; it was "in" to say that you liked Obama or got swept up in the mist.
The idea that a term like "haughty" is racist is so dim-witted I can't even stand it. That term was used to describe John Kerry as well; it means pompous, full of himself, looking down on others as being below him. Never heard of a synonym for "stuck-up" being racial. Learn something new every day. Here I've been so racist using "haughty" and "Chicago" all this time. I'm about to go off and be a groupie for David Duke...
