I love the rising prices of gas and food myself!! Higher unemployment is another plus. Now, I can see more of my family and friends.

Also, Obama has been as hard lined about Foreign Policy as any President before him. He has strengthened our military and done a damnn good job dealing with conflicts outside of our country.
Your candidate didn't mention the military or Afghanistan in his RNC speech. Your VP was to throw an extra 2 TRILLION dollars at the military that they've said they DON'T need. Your candidate and your VP have ZERO experience with foreign policy.
So, please, with that argument. That is a completely absurd statement.

that's crazy! where are they from? btw I use to vote democrat up until 2008. I consider myself independent, but lately seems I lean more republican.
What it says to me is "I'm not going to take the time to actually find out the facts and make an informed decision that is best for me personally and for my community, I'm just going to vote the party line because my parents/preacher/Fox News told me to!"

Unsurprisingly, Obama is better for us personally (we are solidly middle class).
I don't know the details of my parents' finances but they are wealthy and I imagine Romney's plans would benefit them more. Regardless, they are Democrats and would never vote for him (similar to the poster's logic above). Their principles are way more important than the money. I respect that about them, so that means I have to when it goes the other way too.
Obama is better for us personally and locally. And he has my vote.
I, too, have several family members that are wealthy that will all be voting for Obama against their personal best interest because it's for the greater good.
IKR? We really should do something about all the oil speculation driving prices up that has absolutely nothing to do with actual supply and demand. Also, it may have gone up around 50 cents to a dollar in the past four years, but it had already jumped up from $1.30 to $3.00 thanks to Katrina. The president of the time really should have done more about the hurricanes.
Personal, I would gain twice as much income under Obama as under Romney, so a couple grand more in my pocket per year.
Local, 69% of residents would benefit under Obama.
My cousin married into a very wealthy Republican family. Every single one of them is voting Obama this year to protect their future and investments. They have concerns that Romney's plan will benefit them in the short term, and their businesses will die and their profits plummet long term.
Obviously, not a very wealthy, EDUCATED, republican family.
I would be screwed under Obama's plan and, if your very wealthy family knew anything about anything...they'd likely realize the same.

I know plenty of wealthy, EDUCATED people voting for Obama because they know Romney is an idiot and they also care about more than money. They're not selfish ?ssholes who are going to let someone run the government whose party wants to strip women and gay people of their rights.
