Define Socialism.
I see this tossed around a lot in describing a politician. What do you think that means? What do you define as socialism?
Again, in your own words. No wikipedia or encyclopedia copy/paste.

We ALL own everything no matter how much you individually contributed or did not contribute. It's OUR land, OUR money, OUR resources, etc.
Exactly and it's bs imo! Taking away from people who have worked hard. Penalizing financially successful people. Most people with money give to charity without being told what to do!
The main reason I am against socialism is there is not enough control. I see way too many people with brand new things or items that are not necessary...(new cars/iphones/cigarettes) paying for groceries with food stamps. I see this OFTEN!!!! It's wrong! If there were more control over who really deserves help, then I would have less of an issue with the rich being taxed at unfair rates.
It's not the people collecting goods/services from other people creating jobs! Some people need help - yes! But sooo many people abuse the system. I'm not busting my a#s so that someone can have decorated fugly fingernails, an iphone, etc....
I'd like to add, I am farrr from rich. I would do better financially under an Obama administration but hell NO!!!!
Oh hunny....
So how do you feel about Poor people buying skittles?
Credible sources for this statement, please.
I see it ALL the time with my own eyes!! I can't prove it but I can tell you I see a TON of people abusing the system. It is not monitored properly!
Public schools.
Safe drinking war.
Child labor laws.
Do you have access to these people's bank accounts? You do realize that people who once made money and bought nice cars and Coach purses can lose their jobs and therefore actually need help?
What's it like on that high horse of yours?
Some, yes! Not all. I'm not buying it! Ok so not taking the vehicles into account, I almost always see people with food stamps with fake decorated claws (some talking about the highlights they've gotten at the salon/gel nails), fake tans. And, Y.E.S. You can tell a real tan from a fake one!!
I know plenty of people personally and customers who have gotten personal to know they could have sold their unnecessary items but somehow keep the Mercedes, pay high insurance on their fugly fancy cars but COLLECT and then SIT ON THEIR A#S!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, you think most people on assistance need it? Too funny!
Huh?!!??!! I think you mean why are these people on high horses taking people for fools.
Cats reminds me a wee bit of our pal Springs1. Replace the word "fugly" with "ranch" and I think we have a winner.
The maturity on these boards is impressive!
Since a large percentage of people on welfare are old white women in nursing homes, I do feel that most of them need it. I think it's BS that I have to pay for it because they didn't save enough during their family's working years and their kids won't take them in but I don't think they should have to live in the street. So we do what we have to do...they even get to keep a portion of their social security and can use it for clothes, to get their hair done, etc. That is also fine for me because I think it provides some since of dignity.
This is anecdotal evidence. This is not fact.
Your argument is invalid.
The extra hundred or so a month they would get does not outweigh the hundreds of thousands they'll pay out in expenses for the child until they're 18.
Are you really this dense? Do you have even a whiff of logic? What you are saying makes absolutely no sense. At all.
I don't mean to be offending anyone, it's just the truth.
But..but... My dad/brother/husband/dog/Fox News said it so it must be true!!!
I am laughing my ?ss off at "free ride."
Some people perceive that black people should still be slaves, or that the holocaust didn't really happen, does that make it true?
I agree with Hope and JAP. It's ignorant, for them it is reality because if they saw it happen, surely it must happen all over, and it's wrong as hell.
Sad.
Where are they getting the money for this, then? The maximum benefit you get from welfare is not nearly high enough to support a Mercedes payment. Where is this money coming from? Are you saying that people are working at $80k/yr jobs and still collecting welfare?
for sure people abuse it more than those that need it.....several of them are in my own family
