Re: It's not even a question
You can roll your eyes all you want but go read the thousands of comments on any site like yahoo and look at all the people who are no longer in support of Obama. This isn't the case for everyone obviously and probably a small percentage actually change their minds but you can't say there aren't any. Of course some people changed their minds. To say you know that's all bull is simply ignorant.
Agree with you 100% and maybe people think MY friends are ignorant but I know a lot of freelancers like myself and the last 4 years have not worked for us. Obama was wanting to go to the next point before the moderator was ready a couple times.
The $1.64 under my couch cushion doesn't make a dent. Just as the miniscule budget (percentage of the entire national budget) of PBS doesn't make a dent in our national debt.
Take the space program. That's more like an entire mortgage payment.
Romney def. won that debate.
This election is a done deal now! Everyone knows that the first debate determines who wins the election; especially former Presidents Kerry and Mondale.
Er...
Seriously, people. Romney brought his A-game, Obama was flat. One debate does not an election make.
Lol at all the yahoo message board comments being meaningful! Mmmkay.
I will rephrase my original point though: if anyone actually changed their mind about which candidate to vote for after the debate, they were ignorant of what their candidate stood for in the first place. The two men are so vastly different. How can a person support Obama - a pro-choice, pro- gay marriage, anti trickle down economy politician- one day, watch last night's ridiculous debate, and then flip to an anti-choice, trickle down economy champion??? If people have done that, it would be proof of idiocy.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually agree with you on that.
You point to the last four years, and the Democrats point to the previous eight years of trickle-down economics (which is what you're describing). People out there "don't get this" because it's economic theory, not fact. American policies do not exist in a vacuum. We've never been able to test a society that's purely trickle-down economics, so no one can know it will work--it's just a theory.
There's common sense on the other side of the fence too. You argue that if the rich had more money, they'd invest more in their companies and hire more employees and tax revenue would go up. But if there's no demand for more products/services, then why would the rich need to invest more in their company? They could just pocket the extra tax savings for themselves because there's no need to invest more in their company. That's the common sense argument on the other side of the fence. If the middle class isn't doing well enough to have a disposable income to increase consumer demand, then the economy still won't get better.
Facts are available to support both political parties and their theories are not created by idiots who are blind to common sense, jebrmbbeb. It's good to keep that in mind so we can all be respectful of our fellow Americans. Every party wants the same thing--for America to recover. They just disagree about how to get there.
LOL. This made me almost spit out my water! i had seen that video before and had no idea obama gave out cell phones until i watched it. Where is my damn cell phone?!
This. I kept telling my DH...let's cut the defense budget...that's where all the waste is! We will still be able to defend ourselves just fine in my humble opinion. The fact is Congress is funding tanks for the army that they don't even want/need.

Fact is it's all just pork for Rep's to brag about back home in their districts.
my read shelf:
Lol. The increase in military spending really grinds my gears.
Oh the ignorance of her and the American people. Look on you phone bill. There is a charge for people who can't pay for a phone. Obama didn't give her crap and this charge has been on your phone bill for a long time. Do people not even know how to read their bills and what they are paying? Education has failed is...
Thanks! I had a hard time choosing just one, so I might switch it up in the coming weeks. They really are kindred spirits.
Yeah, she never answered my question about what she dislikes about Obama's plan. Though she knows enough to ROTFL about it. Hmm.
They will hire more when the uncertainty of what the future of the tax changes/proposals/implications are put in place and if those make them feel comfortable enough to hire because the future looks so bright ...they gotta wear shades ;-)
Right now you bet your bottom they are stock piling cash (RECORD PROFITS)to cover their own proverbial a$$.
I think this is because when they had to lay off because of the economy they didn't replace those people, so they gave those jobs to others in the office and now that those people are still keeping up why would they hire again? makes sense to me, plus they are saving money
This, 100% yes! As a small business owner this is totally true! We can't make educated decisions about how to plan for the future of our business because we just don't know what the hell to expect.
Anybody who questions the whole "Trickle Down Economics", I suggest reading this from Thomas Sowell, a Senior Fellow from Stanford University.

I will not, under any circumstances, be voting for Obama. I voted for him in 2008, gave him 4 years to prove himself and he has failed me miserably. I believe, with all my heart, if he is re-elected America will no longer be the place our founding fathers had envisioned.
So the people posting on the bump are any more important or intelligent? There is an actual person behind every comment on the Internet. They just choose to post on a different site. And I'm sure there's plenty of morons everywhere posting. As well as plenty of intelligent people. To say otherwise is embarrassingly incompetent on your part. Oh and so that doesn't prove my point? You think Obama won the debate then and that no one will ever change their mind? Okay you're right. And I guess you had a hard time understanding what I said. Yahoo comments were representing the fact that there are people out there who change their minds on who they vote for. You can think there aren't though if that makes you feel better.
You sound mature. Then we should tax the rich, they can lay off more people, choose not to expand, and no business will ever have motivation to be successful because we know we're just going to get punished for it. The more you make the more you give to the government! Splendid! Then everyone can be below middle class forever but it's okay cuz it will all be fair and equal. Perfect. And I'm glad you know for a fact that every company in America is making record profits and not hiring people. We should just continue to follow Obama's plan then. It's working out wonderfully.
Passive aggressive rants are way more mature.
