Does anyone actually like and/or respect Ann Coulter?
Re: Does anyone actually like and/or respect Ann Coulter?
This is exactly what I have been trying to get at. It isn't about being ladylike and it isn't about the use of curse words.
It is completely about the fact that Ann Coulter is one of the most hateful individuals in this world...and the $hit that comes out of her mouth is completely insane. She says some of the worst things about some of the most vunerable people.
So, why in the world would anyone want to jump on the same hate spewing bus as Ann Coulter? When the things that come out of her mouth are as low as it gets why stoop to her level? Because she deserves it?
I am in no way trying to defend Coulter, she is indefensible. But I guess I am left to ask myself why would one criticize her for hate speech and then turn around and call her a word that, as you say, is the absolute worst thing you could say about a woman. Wouldn't that be doing the same thing that she does?
The words of my Mom echo in my head, "two wrongs don't make a right."
Hey no problem, if one chooses to make themselves appear to be just as much of a hateful biitch as the person they are criticizing, let "em at it. No skin off my back.
That just is completely different than how I was raised.
Oh, cincy.
You just lowered yourself to "our' level, as it were.
Well I am sorry you feel that way, you don't really know me but certainly entitled to your opinion.
I simply feel that certain words should be off limits. Words like Fag, tranny, the N word or the C word do harm to others by perpetuating a homophobic, transphobic, racist or sexist culture AND are extremely offensive.
Harsh truths can be said in ways that respect people, the people who are participating in the discussion and even those very people who are rightly being blasted for their for morally condemnable, ignorant behavior. We can criticize people honestly without crossing the line into expressing merely our hatreds and dehumanizing them.
If that makes me a pompous ass, so be it...
Wow. I think I am going to have to agree with cincy on this. She made some valid points and tried to be respectful but you guys continued to twist her words to suit your own agenda.
Sounds like you guys are the cuunts.
Um, I appreciate you coming to my defense...but you just did the very thing I was advocating against.
*bangs head on desk*
lol
Oh, well done. I'm sure cincy is just thrilled with your contribution.
Can we let this thread die already?
It's the humane thing.
This is true. The word "panties" in and of itself is not offensive. Paired with "moist" it becomes more offensive than the word we were previously discussing but will no longer discuss.
Moist Benedict Cumberbatch is much better.
I made gaggy noises.
Thanks, Sooks.
