We just paid $200 to learn that our cat does not have a urinary tract infection like I thought. I think he may be peeing outside the box because he's decided we don't keep the box clean enough. That was expensive.
    :(
At least he isn't sick!  I know how it feels though to go the vet and they say "Oh, they're fine!"  It happened last month to us when Bella got really lethargic and vomited like four times.  We show up to the vet and her tail was wagging and all the sudden full of energy.  So weird.

I confess that I've been feeling off lately but I'm too busy to go to the doctor so I'm worried about it but I don't have time to worry about it. I'm hoping I can make an appointment but I really am not going to be available for another few weeks and I'm just hoping all my symptoms will be gone by then.

Just a few examples: I've been feeling so tired, way earlier and more often than usual. I randomly threw up one morning last week. Just tonight I randomly got really dizzy and nauseous. I've been eating okay and drinking a lot more water, trying to see if maybe I was dehydrated, but it hasn't changed anything.
Ummm, hate to be the one to jump right to this, but have you peed on a stick? Hope you feel better and find time for an appointment soon either way!
Lol actually that was my first thought too and I freaked out because I'd had a few beers last weekend.  It was negative. Thank you though, I'm going to call an make an appointment on Monday.

Yeah, I am relieved about that. And been there with the suddenly healthy thing. It happened when our other cat was sick once, he'd been snuffling and sneezing and wheezing for days, breathing loudly, etc. Got to the vet and he seemed fine. Vet said it happens a lot and is probably an adrenaline reaction from the scary ride in the car, that it opened his nasal passages (so maybe we'll just have to scare the crap out of him next time he gets sick).
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

One day I noticed there was a chopped up worm in my dog's poop, I freaked out and rushed her to the vet. After the vet didn't find anything in her system, I paid the $200 (tests, just in case deworming meds etc) and took her home.

Fast forward to two weeks later...

A and I are in bed talking about the wacky things Mia does and then he says "oh did I ever tell you about the time I was walking Mia and she ate the worm?"
I.saw.RED. I proceeded to ask him "you mean the non existent worm I paid $200 for?"

    So SO angry...

I can laugh about it now though.

@nocturnalintimacy - I was thinking that too, even though I just had my period, and was worried because I had had a few beers that weekend before. I bought a test, but it was negative. I called this morning to make an appointment with my doctor. Hopefully she'll have some answers.
