Fess up- show of hands.... (50SoG)

OK- I know we all pretty much DESPISE the book and all the goes with it.
But - who will give in and see the movie when it comes out.

I would love to say I wouldn't but I think my curiosity may get the better of me! Def won't see it in the theatre! But for $1.20 through Redbox...maybe.
It's easier for me to not want to see it now with who they cast. He does nothing for me.

  • I think I can manage to avoid it.

  • I'll probably see it at some point, but not in the theater.  I'll be curious like the time I knew Showgirls was bad but was curious as to HOW bad.

  • Nah.

I wouldn't mind seeing that dude in the buck, but not enough to pay for it.

  • Highly unlikely.

Between the ticket cost and the limited releases, I've been to fewer than five films this year. Unless a bunch of people say "OMG! It was fantastic!" I will definitely not be seeing it in the theater (if it even runs here). I honestly don't even have the desire to spend the hard drive space to illegally download it.

  • Um, I will probably watch it at some point. For morbid curiosity's sake.

  • I'll be one to say I will see it.  If my sister begs me to see it in the theater, I might go.  I'm not eager to do it, but I'd pay the 9 and change to see that and have dinner with her.  If not, Redbox or whatever when it comes out on video.  Is video even the correct term any more? It's like saying you taped something.  Old habits die hard.

Everyone* still calls it "rewind" even though "winding" hasn't been involved since videotapes.

*except Monk. Maybe "fast go back" won't seem so strange in a few more years.

  • I can't help but wonder...  How are they going to make this a non-porno?  I can't imagine it getting a simple R rating.

I won't see it (but I'll laugh at the enormously long lines and bad reviews it receives).

I don't think I would watch it if someone paid me.

But this is absolutely the reason I want to watch it... because how? HOW THE FUCK.

    It's like.... impossible.

  • RIGHT? I mean, it's about a girl who gets the everloving ish f-ed out of her and all the various ways it happens, right? That's ALL the plot is, right?

Oh, and she learns how to email.

  • I don't think I could watch this movie in the theater.  Too much sex.  I'd probably be too embarrassed to rent it.  I know, I'm a total prude.  Not really, I just embarrass easily.  The only way I'd probably watch this is on Netflix.

  • I'll totally watch it on Netflix, but I'm not paying to go see it in theaters.  I go to the movies maybe once or twice a year in the first place, so it takes something big for me to go and spend money on it.

I take it back.  If my group of girlfriends were hell bent on a girls night to go get drunk and see it in the theater, I'd go.
  • Didn't read it and won't go see it.

  • I still haven't even seen the entire Magic Mike movie.

And I have not read these books (although I don't think that will make much of a difference for plots sake).

I highly doubt I will see it unless I stumble across it when it finally gets to HBO or Showtime and I am flipping through the channels and there is nothing else on and then I will watch it for a half hour and fall asleep to it.

  • I'll watch it when it's available on demand. I don't want to see it badly enough to cough up the $$ to see it in the theater.

  • I have no interest in seeing it. I did read the books because a bunch of people I work with were reading them. I was not impressed.

  • I read the first book because a friend wanted to be able to discuss it with someone. She's been bugging me to finish the series. I probably will at some point.

As far as the movie, I will definitely have to see it. I just need to know how it's not a porno. I won't pay for a ticket, I'll wait til I can get it from redbox or something.
