A friend is getting married next weekend, and we're going to the wedding but I think all parties involved won't be too bent if we drift into friends on FB status only afterwards. It's not any one particular thing, it's just that I think we became friends out of proximity (we used to live in the same town and were both involved in the theatre), but now we've both moved out of that town, and though we're about an hour's drive apart, I just don't have the interest in maintaining and I don't think she does, either, and our FI/DH get along but it's just a case of the mehs. Plus, I really don't like the rest of her friends that she hangs out with in her new town.

It's just meh.

I had a zit on the pad of m thumb. It started aching and getting a red hard bump yesterday. This morning it was white. I had to clip a few layers of skin off with nail clippers but I popped it. It still hurts like a bitch, though.

But, really. How did I get a zit on my thumb??

Maybe it was an insect bite?

I don't think it was. At least, it didn't look like one or itch or anything. And white zit grossness came out when I finally popped it.

One of the highlights of my week was going to Target and buying a new vacuum. This makes me fear for my future.

Oh, another one. I LOVE taking yoga classes, but I CANNOT divorce myself from my ego while I am there. I am pretty sure that the point of yoga is NOT to do it "better" than anyone else. I am hoping that when my higher dose of anti-anxiety meds kicks in I will be able to quiet my mind enough NOT to make yoga into a competition.

I do this as well. The instructor keeps saying that yoga doesn't judge, but I just can't seem to stop.

I've been particularly AW-ish on FB this week (it's been a good week, what can I say). BUT this book was published this week and I have a story in it! DSW's FB page asked for stories back in like February about shoe love and I sent them mine and they put it in this book which I got in the mail yesterday. I kind of want to AW it on FB, but I feel like I've hit my AW limit for the week. I had no idea this was coming out this week or I'd have saved an AW. :P

Is it that you're competing with them? Or are you afraid of them looking at you and judging you?

No, I think it's all me judging myself. The new yoga studio I am going to has less of the college crowd and more of the ladies-who-lunch crowd, so I am not so worried about their opinion of my practice. It's just me competing with myself.

But you are wise...that is a good question!

My mother is heading south to take a cruise out of Florida (not sure where) and on her way down there they stopped for dinner...at a freakin Red Lobster. She's in FLORIDA, and she's eating at a place you could go to in Warren, Ohio (where I'm from)! I swear, if I didn't look so much like her I'd insist that I was adopted!

Ugh. And Red Lobster is the worst. Of course, I'm biased since we have a plethora of fresh seafood from the Gulf. We have a RL in town and I totally side eye people who go there.
