  • 1) Do you dress up for Halloween? If you do, what are you going to be? I almost always do, but I'm not dressing up this year because I just don't have time.

    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out? We always decorate a pumpkin.

    3) Bonus if you can post pictures of your current or past Halloween costumes or decor!

    1) Do you dress up for Halloween? YES! I love it and all our friends are into it too.
If you do, what are you going to be? I'm going as Luna Lovegood this year.  DH will be either Sirius or Lupin.  We have friends going as Bellatrix, Harry, Ginny, and a Snitch thus far.
    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? I like it but we haven't done as much as I wish.. Do you go all out? See previous.
    3) Bonus if you can post pictures of your current or past Halloween costumes or decor!
I'm so mad I can't find any good pics right now.  The last few years I was: 2012: Pinata, 2011: Finn and Marceline from Adventure Time, 2010: Betty and Don Draper, 2009: Kanye West and Taylor Swift, 2008: Daisy de lay Hoya from Rock of Love and Brett Michaels.  I could be wrong on the KWest and TSwift year but it was right after the VMA's that year.

  • 1) Do you dress up for Halloween? If you do, what are you going to be? Not usually.  I'm impressed by those that do, but I just never feel like putting the effort in.

    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out? Not usually.   I will for Wes when he gets older, but mostly I just hate the mess.  I might paint someday, but I hate the scooping and the pumpkin never turns out as good as I wanted it to.

  • 1) Do you dress up for Halloween? If you do, what are you going to be? No.  I'm not a Halloween fan.

    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out? I decorate a little but mostly it's fall decor.  We're going to carve pumpkins with DD this weekend.  I haven't carved in years because DH hates getting his hands all messy with pumpkin goo.  8-|

    3) Bonus if you can post pictures of your current or past Halloween costumes or decor! My SIL made my niece's first birthday party be Halloween themed last year so we had to dress up.

  • 1) Do you dress up for Halloween? If you do, what are you going to be?
No - I don't really get into Halloween.

    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out?
We carve pumpkins each year and I put out fall decorations (not scary Halloween-specific ones). I like the decorations to be fall so I can leave them out through Thanksgiving.

    3) Bonus if you can post pictures of your current or past Halloween costumes or decor!
I only have pictures of the kids on Halloween and no pictures of my decorations.

  • 1) Do you dress up for Halloween? If you do, what are you going to be? We have before but are not planning to this year. If we did, I think it would either be Alice in Wonderland/Mad Hatter or maybe Star Trek officers.
    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out? Some years we have gone all out but are not planning to this year. I bought a Frankenstein rubber ducky and the October issue of Real Simple and that is what I have out. I have a box of decorations, but we don't get any trick-or-treaters, so I have not been inspired to pull them out. I'd love to throw the kind of party in Hocus Pocus!

  • 1) Do you dress up for Halloween? If you do, what are you going to be? We always dress!!  This year the family will be doing a Wizard of Oz theme and I will be the wicked Witch (insert your own joke here)

    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out? Yes, we carve every year. We try to theme out pumpkins around our costumes. Haven't really decided what we are doing for this year.

    3) Bonus if you can post pictures of your current or past Halloween costumes or decor!

This was me working a haunted hayride. Our theme was "Insane moms daycare" (feel free to judge me- I don't care)- I am on the left

  • 1) Do you dress up for Halloween? If you do, what are you going to be?
Only if we have a party to go to.  When T is bigger, if she wants me to dress up for trick or treating with her, I totally will.  I love to dress up, I just don't have a reason to unless we have a party to go to.

    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out?
We usually carve a pumpkin, but that's about it.  I'm lucky if I clean up my front stoop for the trick or treaters!  Though maybe leaving the cobwebs and crap there would just make it look like I had decorated.

    3) Bonus if you can post pictures of your current or past Halloween costumes or decor!
I think June gets all the bonus points on this one!

Do you get trick or treaters? I dressed before I even had kids (and decorated like crazy). The kids always enjoyed it (or wouldn't come near my house)- take your pick.

    1) Do you dress up for Halloween? If you do, what are you going to be? Most years, but I'm not sure what I'll be this year. Probably a witch.

    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out? Hell yes. We carve pumpkins every year with H's family and are quite competitive about it. We also decorate their house because they have a huge driveway and get dozens of trick or treaters at a time, usually totally around 100 a night.

If you want to go all out with ghosts and goblins and all that, that's cool.  But JUST decorating your house with orange lights and nothing else I think is odd.

I love dressing up for halloween and dress up every year. Normally I work halloween and have been fortunate to have jobs that allow it. This year I am dressing up as Eeyore. Alex has a winnie the pooh costume and mh is supposed to be picking up Remy a Tigger costume. If possible I will make him dress as Christopher Robin or Rabbit.

I always carve pumpkins!! This year we have pumpkins that we are moving with us but I doubt I'll get a chance to carve any. I didn't put out any of my fall decorations this year which made me sad.

I'll come back to post pics later.

  • Love that @Booney! Were they mice stickers?

@Packfan- OK I can see your point. I do tend to have lights only in my bushes until I get closer to Halloween (since I have most of my decorations inside and then move them all outside for trick or treating). But my lights are purple with lighted purple spooky trees.

@myJunegirls Unfortunately the mice were not stickers.  They were 3 or 4 different mice templates that I traced and cut out of construction paper.  I must of cut out hundreds of those damn things to put all over the house.  It took me forever.

  • 1) Do you dress up for Halloween? If you do, what are you going to be? When I have the opportunity (i.e. Halloween falls on a weekend and not on a workday) I do. This year we're having a costume contest at work to help make it fun since we'll be on mandatory overtime again. I'll be dressing up as Effie Trinket.

    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out? No, I'm too lazy for decorations.

    3) Bonus if you can post pictures of your current or past Halloween costumes or decor! We had another costume day yesterday for Customer Service week. The week's theme is movies and so yesterday we were supposed to dress up as a movie character. This was me:

I'm dressing up as Daenerys Targaryen and "What Does the Fox Say?" for our office party.

    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out?
I have tons of Halloween party decorations that I've lugged across continents, but I only use them when I have a party.

  • 1) Do you dress up for Halloween? If you do, what are you going to be? Only if there is a party.  That hasn't happened in a while though.  Maybe when we have kids....I don't know.

    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out? Generally, yes.  We carve pumpkins and put spider webs and fake spiders in the bushes.  I wouldn't say "all out" but more than the neighbors, that's for sure.  Compared to my neighborhood growing up, our house would be very tame.  Last year we didn't do anything for Halloween.  No decorating or candy or parties.  Then Thanksgiving came and it kind of felt like just a day.  Then Christmas came and that kind of just felt like just a day, but with more people.  And the span of time between Halloween and New Years is my absolute favorite time of year, so it was weird.  So this year we are definitely doing Halloween stuff, because I'm wondering if not doing it last year kind of made it so we weren't geared up for the season.

    3) Bonus if you can post pictures of your current or past Halloween costumes or decor!  I have pictures of snowglobes.  I looooove snowglobes and so far I have two of these Halloween ones.

    2. Meh. I got one of those fake pumpkin at Michaels and carved it this year. But other than that, I don't really decorate.
