I have one. I realized this week that I'm a total Erudite. There a couple of engineers that I work with who are not so bright, and I have no patience to deal with them. It makes me wonder how they got their engineering degrees when they seem incapable of figuring out how to solve problems on their own. I really need to learn to be more Abnegation.
About 2 seconds after we told my parents we were having a baby, my mom posted it on Facebook. I was about 4 weeks along, and it was NOT cool - we are friends with some of the same people and, well, it's simply not cool to post other people's stuff. When a friend called to ask if I'd seen what my mom posted on Facebook, I called her and basically went off, and told her not to post about things going on with me and mine on Facebook without my saying it's okay, or posting about it first. She apologized and deleted the post. It was up for about an hour.
Now, 10 weeks later, she's got it in her head that I am censoring how and what she talks to her friends about (not only on Facebook), and sends me passive-aggressive email reports on how she didn't talk to her friend about my kids because I didn't say it was okay, or can she tell her friends what my kids dressed up for Halloween as because I didn't specifically say it was all right, etc.
It's so typical of my mom to be the victim even though she's the one who did something thoughtless and of course it's all my fault. My dad and sister have even called to tell me to apologize to my mom for "my issues" and for yelling at her when she'd clearly done nothing wrong.
I'm kind of upset about the exchange still. I feel like my elf wasn't going to send me anything until she got shunned on the board and figured she'd make good. The first package never got here and I'm questioning if she ever even sent it. I like the exchanges and it kind of put a sour taste in my mouth because of it. I feel like a terribly greedy person even thinking that or mistrusting that she did try the first time.
Every pay period I give myself a heart attack because I'm reminded of how little I make. I don't know how I'm going to pay for certain things I have going on and I'm starting to go into panic mode.
MH went to a new podiatrist last night for an issue he's been having with his foot. The doctor assumed that I had no interest in sports, seeing as I have boobs. After talking football for five minutes with him, he changed his mind.
It really annoyed me that he jumped to the female /= sports fan immediately when he saw me. I felt smug and slightly superior when he tried to stump me on a bit of trivia and I had the answer to it. Dumb boy.
My knees have been killing me this week, but I confess that I can't (won't) take time off from the gym. I have just been working out regardless. Knowing that the doctors can't make my knees better makes me say "screw it" and that I might as well screw them up even more than they already are.
So what if I am unable to walk when I am 60. I will worry about it then (if I am still alive).
I am planning my best friend's bachelorette party and I want to kill our mutual friends a little bit. In fact, I feel like throwing my hands up in the air and saying, "fuck it, you bitches plan it!" but that would be childish.

I felt like this at multiple times planning my sister's. Her friends were literally no help whatsoever except to get drunk and complain that they wanted to go clubbing...I told my sister she was the first and last person I would ever be a MOH to. She's basically the only girlfriend I love enough to put up with that for.

I feel like no matter what I plan, someone won't be happy with it. Someone's going to be broke, or want to do something else, or be too pregnant, or want to go somewhere else. IDGAF. Come or don't come. I'm taking my best friend out to party. The end.
I'm struggling to plan my sister's bridal shower. She didn't get me the list of people to invite until a week ago, and she wants to have it in the beginning of December. UGH!

Come or don't come. I'm taking my best friend out to party. The end. Yep, that's basically what it came down to. I planned what my sister wanted for what I thought was a reasonable amount of money. It was either show up or don't, but don't hurt my sister and don't complain to me, especially if you're not going to help.
I'm having a hard time at work lately. I am not happy here and don't feel challenged. I have been applying for jobs if I see anything that interests me, but it has been a slow process. I am terrified to be looking for a new job right now. My current company offers great benefits and the maternity leave is insanely good. It feels really risky to leave now and miss out on all of that. I feel torn about sticking around until after the baby is born and start looking then or making a larger effort to leave now.
I was just about to start an audiobook. I plugged in my headphones, opened Overdrive, hit play. And NOT through my headphones it said, "Listening Library presents!" SO LOUD. I didn't push the headphone jack in far enough. Ugh, now they probably know I listen to audiobooks during work.

This happened to me with Pandora the other day! It was listening to Christmas music and three of my coworkers came over and side eyed me, hard. I'm not ashamed of my early Christmas music listening, it makes my days brighter!

Ughh. You're right. 4 weeks is way early to tell people and you should've been the one to make that call. Generally I think facebook is a good thing, but it sure does complicate things like this. I completely understand why you would be upset. My SIL did this when DH and I got engaged. She posted about it on facebook, despite the fact that there were friends and family that we hadn't told yet. Not nearly as big of a deal, but still, I feel your pain.

Mh has this nasty horrible cough. Its really gross. I don't even want him in the house not because I'm worried he'll get me and A sick but because it grosses me out.
I feel really bad because I have an overdue library book that someone else has on hold. I think with our library you can't renew if someone else has it on reserve. I hadn't even had a chance to start it yet, (starting it tonight) but I kept it rather than turning it in because I have had it on hold so long. I feel a little guilty. I always get hugely annoyed when books I want are overdue.

I just planned my brother's new wife, now my SIL's, and I was so over it by the end. She wanted her sister to be included because she's under 21, so that really limited our options. Then people complained the restaurant I picked was too expensive, it was not. Then people who said they would show up didn't so I ended up going good for a bunch of bowling reservations, because one of her cousins had her party on the same night and the over 21 crowd wanted to go the clubs. Never again.

You'd think. They don't mind music. However, I think they think listening to books is like watching netflix. Someone said, "busted!" but I tried to play it off like it wasn't what I was trying to do on my phone. I'm sure they believed me. Not.

I feel your pain. She sounds just like my mom. It is terrible. She loves playing the victim and stirring up drama. It's why I miss living in SC sometimes, about 10 hours away from here.
While I was on maternity leave, one of my favorite coworkers got promoted and is no longer on our team. They hired someone else and I can't stand her. It makes me so sad because we have always had an awesome team and I have always genuinely liked everyone on it. Now not so much.
We have weekly team meetings and she always interrupts with "I think you should do..." or "Why can't we change this?" when she has no understanding of the process we're discussing. I find myself taking a really bitchy tone with her and I always leave our meetings frustrated with her and embarrassed with myself because it's so unprofessional of me to act like that. Typically, I can put on a good face around some of the stupid people in my office but she just gets on my last nerve.
I want a few Lego sets for Christmas so bad. Seriously. And it is incredibly likely that I'll be getting the hubster a Lego set too. Practical? No. Fun? Yes. My parents told me a few years ago that they would never get lego sets for us because we are adults. I guess being an adult means you aren't allowed to play anymore. But seriously, I will display our Lego sets in our house way beyond old age.

DH will almost definitely be getting Legos for Christmas, we have so many sets at home and I love seeing them all set up. We're currently working on the Tower Bridge.

I wish that he was leaving for his trip tonight instead of Monday so I can drop the kids at my parents and go enjoy my birthday tomorrow solo.
Him being sick is screwing everything up! I and the baby will probably get a cold next week when I'm home with the kids by myself.
