An email went out this morning that someone was eating food that wasn't theirs out of the work fridge.  Come to find out, this person is sampling peoples lunches.  WTF, who does that? I mean take a lean cuisine by accident, or a yogurt gets mixed up, fine.  But that's just gross and mean!

    ETA: for spelling

Today he asked me to also teach a section of advanced reading, which is pretty much reading books and analyzing/talking about them. Curriculum = my choice.

    Um, ok.
Will you be there next year? Yeah. I still don't have a permanent job, so I'll most likely still get laid off in March. But I'll for sure get another contract for next year because there's no one else to teach this.
I wasn't sure if you were going to try to apply to high school. Ah. Well, that depends on a few things. But I applied all over the place last year and it was totally useless. Not sure if I want to go through that waste of time again.
The offer still stands for you to interview here if you ever want to move to Northern California! ;)  We have super smart kiddos, and our District is awesome, I promise!

But seriously, working for a crappy District is the pits. I am amazed at the level of incompetence certain places can achieve. There is a total disconnect - no communication, and a lack of any sort of real effort to
think at all. I promise that even during the lean times, Districts can hire/layoff/fire/staff/whatever with compassion and there are ways to make things happen with a little forethought and planning.

A coworker took my favorite pen. :(

    Go get it back.

@Hoycie She left with it before I could. I'm holding her entire pencil cup and pens hostage lol.
