  I'm so proud of DH.  He gave me an early birthday present since I was so sad yesterday and brought Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children home for me without even knowing I wanted to read it.  He heard the author on NPR and thought I'd like it.

  I always hold my nose when I sneeze.  Well, I had to sneeze this morning and held my nose as usual but now my ears have been blocked ever since.

  I'm leaving work a little early tonight (15 mins) so I can take an earlier train home so I can wash and dry my hair tonight. I know I'll be too lazy/not in the mood to do it Saturday and Sunday I won't have time. By that point it will have been a week and my hair will look gross. It already looks kind of bad today.

  My random is that I posted what was essentially a diatribe on Facebook yesterday in response to some ignorant posts I was seeing in my newsfeed and it's gotten a lot of love from people on both sides of the political spectrum. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

  So I've been having trouble with a teacher who is not getting her job done and dropping the ball for students. I hate doing it but I got so frustrated that I actually had to go talk to her department head about it; because keeping my mouth shut would have been doing a disservice to the students. I found out today that on her most recent evaluation her teaching ability had been knocked down a step.
  
  As this is the first time in my life I've ever gone to a superior to complain about a teacher it's kinda nice to see results!

  I just made pork dumplings for the Chinese New Year tomorrow.  I cannot wait to eat them.  Nomnomnomnomnom!  I also have leftover filling so tonight we'll be having Jeon which are like crab cakes but with the dumpling filling.  I always make dumplings for new year. 
  
  I've got a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I'm completely convinced I've got some fatal condition that is causing my abdominal pain.

  I'm sad football season is over.

  We are organizing the house room by room.  I'm excited.  I'm also excited for rearranging things and furniture because it means in December our tree can be against a window.  I love Christmas tree windows.

  Very cool! We did a Mediterranean cruise with a similar itinerary for our honeymoon. You'll love it! It's a great way to experience so many of those cities!

  
  

  We're going to the UK for my sister's wedding. She's getting married in Newcastle, but we plan on spending some time in Scotland (still trying to figure out a way to get an Outlander tour of something while we're there) and some time in London. I also really want to get back to Paris but it will all depend on how much time we're able to get off and how much our flights will end up costing. They are crazy expensive compared to the last time we flew to Europe!

  After a long discussion about the sock fad with a co-worker, I am seriously considering wearing the knee high or over-the-knee socks with tights and a skirt look. I have no clue if I can pull this off, but I wonder if I'm brave enough to try.
