I normally order mine online from Gap. I never find my size in tall at other places even target.

I am with @RiverPlate The only jeans I was able to find that fit me AMAZING were Lucky Brand. I would always buy a couple pairs at the outlets in PA and they would last me forever! I think the last ones I got lasted me 4 years maybe. I am in the same boat with you @SnShne322 I am short 5ft and I used to wear a size 11-12.

I usually buy mine from Express. I'm 5'4" and buy the short length for flats and regular for heels. My favorite pair just ripped though and I can't find them anymore so I'm really bummed. I also like Gap and Old Navy but I feel like they stretch out a lot while I wear them and they don't fit me quite as well.

I love Loft's jeans, but there in-store sizing is ridiculous. At least for chubs like me. I usually have to order online. I've also had good luck with Target.

I'm 5'2 and I've been loving AE's high rise jeggings and skinny jeans. I order them online and then return to the store if they don't fit. I wear their short inseam. My fav used to be from Express

Probably a silly question @snshne322 but have you tried on their jeans recently? I never used to be able to wear ON jeans they always fit really weird. Now they fit much better!

I love AE jeans. I've been wearing the kick boot style, and they fit really nicely. I don't have much of a butt, and I don't end up with the weird gap in the back with those jeans.

I'm 5'2" and I only wear Banana Republic jeans (and pants too). They have petite and short, and I prefer the short. I hit the outlet up once or twice a year and typically don't spend more than $30 on a pair.

@SnShne332 - When I lived in IL I'd get all my jeans at the dept. store Von Maur -- which does (did?) free hemming on all clothes purchased there (and has a 0% interest ever store credit card. Spoiled!) I've never asked at the dept stores around here, but it's worth a shot.

Or is this simply an antiquated policy since a lot of brands come in different lengths?

I love Express jeans, but they do run long. I'm about 5' 3" and I usually have to wear them with heals.

They really are. I'm 5'1" and they were too long with 4 1/2 inch heels!

Maurice's sells extra-short jeans. (I heard angels singing when I found those. No hemming needed and I'm 5'1.) I also like that they have ones that are slim cut in the thighs, but skinny in the calves, for those of us that are shaped like real human beings. ;
