  • I'm sorry you are going through this again Brij.
I hope you can get moved to the RE and at least get some answers soon. You're doing a great job with the changes you've made so far. Another thing to ask about is baby aspirin, it's a lot like progesterone where there is mixed thoughts on it but if it may be the difference for some.

  • I'm so sorry. I hate that you're going through this again. I am doubly angry and frustrated now - for both of us.

I would see if you can transfer to an RE. Jog my memory - you live in an area of the country where you don't have a local RE, right? If that's the case, I'd have a serious conversation with your OB about what testing he can do for you to give you some answers.

Sending you and DH so much love.
TTC #1 since Feb. '12. dx: "unexplained" IF

  • @lindsayandjamie  I'm not sure.  There's one about an hour away from us that I've done some research about.  That would probably be a direction that H and I are more comfortable with, but we'll see.

@ecinereb Can you tell me more about baby aspirin?  What does it do, and what does it help?

@poppies717 We live in a very rural area.  Our current OB is already an hour away.  The nearest RE is 2.5 hours, but he has a satellite campus near our current OB, and utilizes our OB to do some of the monitoring and testing.

@flamingo86  I actually have a diaphragm that we were planning to use during my FW when doing FAM.  Let's just say that I need some more practice with it.  I would prefer to do FAM, but with not having a regular cycle, it's a bit hard to.

Baby aspirin thins your blood. It helps prevents clots which can cause m/c by preventing blood flow through the placenta. Clotting disorders show up in RLP testing but it can help even if one doesn't show up for some people.

It's not unsafe to take but I have read some things that say not to take it if you don't need it but I figure during TTC I'll do anything that might help. I took 1 baby aspirin ( the small low dose they give to heart patients) once a day.

    Hope that answers your questions.

  • I hope finding a new doctor will help. Holy hell, I would not be treated like that.  I do believe that doctors are more knowledgeable than I am, but my doctor BEST be listening to me when I bring up legit pieces of medical procedures. Best of luck in whatever BC you decide to use until you are ready to visit the RE.
