It's Good Friday! What are you reading!
Happy Friday everyone!
What is everyone reading! Is it for the challenge or yearly goal?
@alithebride is in England this week! Have you ever been there? If not, is it on your dream vacation list?
Re: It's Good Friday! What are you reading!
I am also reading Make You Mine by Macy Beckett!!
I have never been to England (unless a layover at Heathrow counts). I want to visit England so bad!!
I've been to England. I was in Windsor, London and Portsmouth. London drove me insane. I have no desire to go back. I also was so frustrated that these people were speaking my language but I still couldn't understand them. I did love the convenience of the Tube, though.

I'm reading The People in the Trees. It's . . . interesting. In a good way; I'm intrigued, but not really excited about it. I'm 150 pages in and I feel like it's just now starting to go from set-up to story line. But it is good, so far. I know there is some messed up stuff coming, so we'll see where it goes, I guess.
I studied abroad in London for 5 weeks in law school. I had a couple of weeks of classes and then I sat on the bench with a judge at the Old Bailey court during a trial for conspiracy to commit murder. It was interesting to learn about their weird legal system and see it in action. One of the biggest regrets of my life came out of that trip, though - Wimbledon was going on while I was there, and I didn't go when I had the chance because I had just taken a day or two off work to go to Scotland for a long weekend, and I felt guilty taking more time away from the "job" I was supposed to be doing. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Sugar & Spice
I'm kinda sorta listening to Where'd You Go, Bernadette. Eh, I'm not sure I'm going to finish. It seems like a silly book. Kind of like Beauty Queens, which I didn't really enjoy. #33
ETA: I have been to England, but on a HS trip. I don't remember much of it except for trying to get Kahlua and milk (OMG how embarassing) and a pub outside Windsor Castle.

I'm reading Dreams of Gods and Monsters. I'm not very far into it - hoping I can squeeze in some reading time this weekend.
I'm listening to Under the Dome. I like it, it's just taking me forever because it's so long.
Kate's Recipe Box || Relatively Bookish
I'm listening to The Descendants as a reread.
I've never been to England. It's on my list but very far down so I likely won't make it there in my lifetime.

England is #1 prime top spot of my dream vacations. I'm a huge Wars of the Roses and Tudor fan, I've read tons of non-fiction and fiction about the period. Plus, the freakin' castles! And Stonehenge! And Hadrian's Wall! And architecture! And...I could go on. I want to go to there.
I'm listening to Hold Tight by Harlan Coben. It's ok.
On my Nook I'm reading A Painted House by John Grisham. Good so far.
I also just started I Am Legend by Richard Matheson. GREAT!!!
They are all for the challenge.
I have never been to London, but thought it would be a fun place to visit. My sister is debating about going there or Ireland for her honeymoon in December.
