Guess this is what I have to say about it.

This board is an amazing place where people can come and ask questions, have fun, meet people going through similar circumstances, and get some feedback and support.   Of course there are going to be disagreements.  We're all from different walks of life and different areas and upbringings.   I'm very thankful for the support and friends I have made from here.  Whether it is just through PM's, FB, or IRL.

There's a wonder why the board is dead.  Well that post is why.  Others watch the way regulars are treated on here and they don't want to post or be involved.  She asked a simple question.  Do I disagree that she could've done a little searching and seen an entire list of recommendations? No.  But the remark on her post and all of the little jabs were like watching a kid being made fun of by a bully and all of their friends standing behind them poking fun and laughing while that kid is apologizing for their simple mistake and being backed into a corner.

If it bothered you so much, why didn't you say something then?  It's easy for you to give us all shit for being "bullies" now that someone else has brought it up.

I wanted to bring it up when it was originally asked why she hasn't been around in a while.  But I don't have a pack of people behind me to support the other side of the table.  So I kept my mouth shut instead.

I love being involved on this board and I have nothing against anyone on here.  I've found some of my closest friends through GP, but there's a reason why people don't post on here anymore.

  • If you don't speak up no one knows there is a problem. You don't know if you have a pack behind you until you speak up. Furthermore, why do you need a pack to defend someone or something if you feel like something is out of line? Is this how you are in real life? If you felt like something was wrong would you just walk on by?

I disagree. I suspect a lot of people don't post here anymore because we have very few debates or conversations.

No. I'm the type of person who will go out of my way to talk with them privately instead.

First eye roll of the week went to LuckyAngel. Second goes out to all ya'll bitches and hoes. It's been entertaining, but I'm tired of hearing everyone justify their need to be assholes. *yawn*

This has really been bothering me - what did @luckyangel07 do? I haven't seen anything that was even worth an eyebrow raise.

I rolled my eyes because she always presents things as if she knows everything, and often what she's presenting as fact is wrong. I find it funny that everyone hates me so much, but the board mysteriously gets busier when I'm around and threads I post on always get a ton of views. I also think it's funny that Brij told everyone the board was an unwelcome place full of snots and that's why it's slow, all the unwelcome snots told her she was wrong, and lo and behold in the lurker thread it comes out that people left due to unwelcoming snots. Brij and I don't generally see eye to eye, but that shit was funny. That's all for now.

No. I don't. I present what my experience has been. I don't expect anyone to take my word as gospel; I'm sharing my perspective and what knowledge I've happened across. Take it or leave. If you have a different perspective, then share it, but don't be an ass about it. If I've been misinformed, I can't know that until someone provides the correct/alternative information.
