Happy Friday! What are you reading?
Re: Happy Friday! What are you reading?
Giving it a fair shot.
I've started listening to And She Was by Alison Gaylin. I really like it so far. The protagonist is a P.I. who has a rare disorder wherein she remembers every detail of every day of her life since she was 13 when she was traumatized by the disappearance of her sister. A missing person's case is connected to her when her address is found in the wallet of the missing woman, and that woman is connected to a child who went missing a decade prior, which may have been connected to Brenna's sister's disappearance. Lots of flashbacks, which I don't always like, but they obviously are suited to the premise. It's working for me. Should make for a good series for mystery fans.
Reading Just Ride: A Practically Radical Guide to Riding Your Bike. Nice little collection for people who may be too intimidated by racing culture to ride. It basically says what to ignore and what to follow so that one can enjoy riding their bike for leisure or general commuting. Not groundbreaking for an experienced cyclist, but that's not the audience.
No specific weekend plans. Today is a lazy day with nothing going on except a trip to the record store to search through through the vinyl bins and walking/running at the track. I plan to do some clothes shopping for me over the weekend (it's been ages and I really need some new things) and to go for rides on Sunday and Monday. Maybe get some ice cream.
