  • I have always wondered how everyone copies the responses into their post for years...literally years have been spent trying to figure that out. I just noticed the quote button this morning and it blew my mind. :\">

  • I got really, really discouraging job news yesterday and I'm heartbroken.  I feel like I'm not respected as a professional.  I know what the choice is, but it never feels good to be crapped all over.

I think I gained like 12 pounds in two days from my food binge in Las Vegas.  Ick.

  • I really have no desire to do any work today, like at all.

Sadly, we won't be going to Disney this year. After being violated by the IRS, we just don't think it would be smart financially. So here's to Disney in 2016!

The church that I attend, when I am not being a slacker, puts on an awesome Easter production. I plan on going this Friday and want to invite some friends, but am kinda nervous about it. They don't attend church and I don't want them to think I am being pushy.  I am actually just being selfish because I don't want to go by myself if I don't have to. I just need to get over my social anxiety/awkwardness and ask.

Sorry, I'm being vague.  I'm just not sure how much I should really write out.  They've been making me a lot of promises and not delivering on them.  I just feel like I have no one in my corner here.  The people who anyone else in the company would bring this up are the people who made this happen, so I'm kind of stuck.  I unfortunately need to accept it and move on.  I've given this place 12, almost 13 years and have gone to these people's houses for family events.  I don't deserve special treatment or anything, but I'm feeling a little displaced.

That and the fact that 90% of my professional career has been here makes me feel really out of the loop.  Time to get back in the loop.

  • I got my first warning the other day on the bump. I abandoned ship with everyone else on my BMB but if someone asks what happens, I just tell them to google the new place. No links, just google it. Apparently this is warning material. I'm strangely proud of this.

Aw, @SnShne322, that stinks. I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this. Could it be time to look elsewhere, if that is an option?

I don't like looking for new jobs either. Maybe something better is is out there for you though and you won't know until you make that leap. :)

  • I feel a little sad if I'm not planning a vacation of some sort.  I love to go on little escapes, and planning them is just as good! Booking flights and hotels, scoring dinner reservations = my happy place. As soon as I'm back from one trip, I'm ready to plan another! (I just booked our flight for our next excursion, so I'm coming down from the high right now. Hahaha.)

  • DH likes to go on mini vacations without me. I told him that this needs to stop. I get no paid vacation time, if I'm not in the office, I'm not getting paid, holidays included. He's going on a guys weekend in June, he's going away for something he volunteers for in May and mentioned taking a day trip somewhere while he's out there, and last year he spent a couple days in Ireland on the way home from a work trip. I'm getting annoyed.

I'm still hoping to make it happen! I have Disneyland in May, Portland in July, and then Disney World/Miami in November on my list! Thank goodness for rewards points!

We have Disneyland annual passes now. I was considering getting the Premium ones that are for both Disneyland and Disney World when we renew. I need to research if there is a savings there, since we'd only get to Florida once in that year.  I need to make it a long trip - we want to do Disney, World of HP, and Football!

See? Once I get planning, I can't stop!
