Re: Wordless Wednesday

  • wow---That's pretty scarily amusing...

We had a tiny Geo Forman and a HUGE one.  I used it when I was single- and no grill... When we moved in-a friend gave me her big one-my sis has the tiny one... We used to use it, but not really...

Not that HE would, but he likes to give examples of how airport security is not wonderful and can't catch everything, despite the inconvenience he "suffers" from it.

I saw this in Bed, Bath, & Beyond recently and wondered if people actually use them.  I make quesadillas a lot, but just use a griddle.

I have one and i use it ALL.THE.TIME.

    This post is great.

  • We use the George Forman, Cuisnart Sandwich press and Santa Fe Quesadilla maker all the time.  Actually, we just busted the quesadilla maker, so when we got a dup for xmas, we were very happy.

But this thing gathers dust like nobody's business.

One day I will learn to cook... and all the spices will have expired.

  • I can't get the picture to work.

The food mill MIL gave me at my bridal shower.  So I can make "mashed potatoes without lumps".  I used it with her (MIL) at Thanksgiving.  That thing is a pain in the @ss.  Next time, I will use my KitchenAid (which I adore and in the mixer is how my mother makes mashed potatoes).  And I don't see what the big deal about the lumps is anyway- I actually like garlic redskin smashed potatoes with the skins and lumps the best!

  • I posted that we never use our Santa Fe Quessa maker because until this post, I forgot we had it.  I think I will break it out this weekend!  It's still in the box up in the kitchen closet collecting dust!  I had asked for it 2-3 years ago so my Aunt bought it for me.

I was um, neighborly buddies with a guy who had one of those, and he used to make me killah quesadillas when we would stumble back to his place after hitting the bars. . .

I am a slut for quesadillas. Or something. Is it a weird coincidence that N also makes fantastic quesadillas? But he doesn't use a special gadget.

Oh. Dear. I need to go clean up my thoughts!

  • Jenny - I blame the rabbit.

I used one all the time in college and HAD to have one when I got married, I've used it once.  A grill pan is soooo much easier!

I hate mine.  It burns everything!!!
