ughh well theres still hope...there are 104 non tenured teachers, and they are proposing to cut 80...they just wont tell us who yet. I'm keeping an eye out for new jobs though, and if worse comes to worse, I'll work at H's tree farm, and become a full time maple syruper while working on my masters hehe.
I'll confess, I had a horrible day at school and swim practice today--the guys were little stinkers to put it nicely. I had two giant glasses of wine before the meeting, and i dont know if it did any good haha.
hows the weather there? it was nice here for a few days, but now its craptastic.
To be COMPLETELY honest, I'm miserable. I am in desperate need of a vacation to the point where I feel like my life and work are suffering for it. Its not just because of my job, but its stress from coaching, and grad school, not having a break in so long because of the wedding, and the fact that I have some sort of minor sleep disorder that causes me stress. ok breathe. pitty party over haha
It's 73 here... heh. Actually it's getting a little chilly and DH has the screen door open wide.
And I need to make bread again.

I'm planning on taking a mental heatlh day on Wednesday to get my nails done and get a massage (my swimmers got me a gift cert. for my wedding), and I was thinking about taking the time to create some sort of recipe with maple syrup, chicken...maybe some brown sugar and blueberries? i dont know....I just feel like Its necessary that i start creating maple syrup recipes!
besides putting it in your coffee, on your icecream, really as a substitute for any sweetner haha
Aaaand I just saw your ticker. At least your HM is coming up...kinda!

Melko, you could create a bunch of recipes using Maple Syrup and then write a little recipe book that your husband can sell with the maple syrup. Then people will have more use for the syrup besides pancakes and buy even more. Then your business goes up and you become millionaires.

...we're still going to take the honeymoon, since I'll be getting my paychecks until the end of august....It cant come soon enough!
Haha. we were thinking about that! I was thinking I could create something with pictures in snapfish, shutterfly, or something like that haha. we eventually want to start making wine, and preserves, and maybe stuff like pesto...

That sounds great! I love going to farms in the fall where you can get pumpkins, halloween decorations, fresh baked goods, produce, soup mixes and all that good stuff at one place. I love those kinds of places!

Panda, that recipe sounds adorable. I taught a kid's cooking class for a while, and that totally sounds like something we should've made. Too bad I didn't see it a few years ago!

Once swimming ends, I'll actually be cooking. I just made Shazzie's AMAZING crock pot chicken, and it was SOOO GOOD!
I really want to make something in the crock pot once a week--which could be a topic for a blog day.
I LOVE cooking..I just havent had much time haha.

you are correct! he's still figuring it out..but the weather sucked this year (it was too warm/cold on and off), and he didnt produce as much as last year...but he did sell out last year, so thats the best we can hope for!

It would be a lot of work to get everything started, but such a good idea. I really miss Mom & Pop type shops, you'd probably do really well in this area. You'd be the go-to place in town!
