I think it's not that she thinks the talent thing is lame, but that she showed up, pooh poohed the talent thing, then disappeared without offering any other sort of entertainment.

I'm kind of in agreement with you here Winged. Not necessarily re Fenton, but what annoys me most are people who complain about it being boring here, but who don't provide new stuff to enliven the board. Perhaps I'm not the most riveting character here, but I try to bring interesting topics (my ridiculous mother, my ridiculous purchases, my ridiculously cute kid and dog).
For the record, I think CGT is a great idea. And not just because I'm super duper talented either - which hopefully you'll see as long as I can figure out how to use my webcam to record. I also think it means that it'll be a relatively interesting day.

I think you're bored and I get it. You're (for a lack of a better term) stuck in your house now because of your kid and look to the board as a source of entertainment more than ever. I get that feeling of watching the screen crawl all day... We hated on Amy#s for moving on, we've hated on Fent for ditching us during election time. They're awesome and we miss their contributions... But this weird anger towards her and "deeming her a lurker" is weirdly high and mighty and it's making me c*ck an eyebrow.
I didn't get why Fenton thought it was lame. I thought people were just doing funny videos and it would be a laugh? Is that lame? Was Fenton thinking people were going to sing "I Dreamed a Dream" all serious like? Is that what people were doing?

ok, that was a sarcastic joke and I am sad that you didn't get it. I am actually way less bored now than I was while working. But I have always viewed this as a place for entertainment. What I don't understand is how you see this as misplaced anger. it's a callout. I am not the first to do one, apparently I forgot about the one last week.

Common. Much of what has taken place on here and at gtg's via this board....is not particularly cool. I don't really get why the latest fun, uncool activity is now horrifying.
