firstly, the not cool/lame-o talent show debate? Yeah. I stopped worrying about being "cool" probably sometime in college when I grew up and became my own person. I put a blue wig on my head and acted out an animated cartoon with a group of online friends for pete's sake. I prefer to worry about having fun rather than if what I'm doing is "cool" or not. life is too short.

also, lame comment by Eville that she all but retracted when people reacted discouragingly instead of "hells yeah! you go girl!" like she expected. "I knew that would lure her out?" ha. my ass. you thought you'd get some claps on the back for your rousing effort at trying to make insults out of looks and hips comments.

Babb's girls are super cute. Especially in person. As someone who photographs like month-old lettuce kept in a shoebox under a radiator, I kind of understand photogenic comments. I like Babbs because she is fun to be with, reciprocates care of well-being with me, and enjoys a life that I really respect: a family-woman, hard working paycheck-earner, great wife and mom, plus good listener and friend. that was to answer Fallin's question. And before the next question comes, noooo, of course I don't agree with everything she says and does. I'm far from perfect myself, so whatever.

I would say soft enough to be bothered by the flack she gets, but for most people who post here, you don't have to be "hard." That was my point, that I am largely skeptical that most of the non-old timers would survive one day of being on the receiving end of what they dish out.

And no I can't name names because as winged said, I am no longer a regular! I can't remember exactly who posted what when, but I know I have seen this and had this thought in the past.

Apparently I am too soft for this place, because Tasty's post made me feel warm feelings in my feeling place.

Also, for the most part I've been neutral on the Babbs stuff. We've had our moments when we connected a bit over twin talk I think-- then I've also been annoyed by a lot of things she's said/done that people have brought up here. But I do not get the "her kids are not cute" thing. Look at them!

Leaving you mom to live with your ex husband is just flat out bizarre to me, but it's no secret that I don't get anything about Moo or her life.

Is her mom bedridden? As far as I know, she has two working feet and knows how to use doors.

I believe there was a mention of surgery and recovery.

ETA: I'm assuming there's some reason that mom is stuck there b/c why else would she stay, but maybe I'm coming at it from a place where people don't live with their children, much less their children's exes if there's another choice.

Going back to this, if N is taking care of her mom, then that would be weird. I don't think this is happening. I'm not entirely sure about the surgery thing, but even when I had my gall bladder removed, I could walk around the house myself, and if I was living in an uncomfortable situation, I would be able to stay in a hotel and watch TV all day and pop pills, which is what I did in at home. It all depends on the type of surgery.

Christ on fire. You act as though we murdered people and ruined our lives. Yeah, I'm not proud of everything I did after my divorce but who is? Who doesn't fukc up here and there? Said "life decisions" didn't involve guns, unprotected sex with syphilitic men in vans by the river, or even tattoos. It's all mendable and has since been mended so I'm gonna stand over here and keep my drawers up and try not to drop the soap.

NOTE: I am not defending Bloomie to the death like we're blood sisters. I have no idea wtf she's up to these days. Maybe she has murdered people. Or gotten a terrible tattoo. Or leprosy.

people disect their children's looks. Lila has my nose and giant forehead and Andy's eyes and mouth with the pouty bottom lip. in combination, it's adorable. Lila also didn't look lik herself to me in pictures int eh first few months.
