Now Mike's in a bad mood so apparently we aren't talking-this is a very very strange occurrence in our house so I'm not sure what to do. He's stressed about the one, maybe two possible job openings at work that would be promotions for him.

My rule is don't poke the angry bear.

J&J is carving her invitations out of wood and decorating them with copper pipe.

Duhhh obviously. I have been saving scrap copper for awhile now.

But seriously. I am handmaking my own paper. So I need to make a form to make the paper in. Just some wood and mesh. I am putting seeds in the paper so you can plant it and it will grow flowers.

  • That's pretty awesome! You should post pictures when you're done, I'd love to see how they turn out.

  • Fun! You so crafty.

Man. I would rather not have access to test results until someone is able to help me interpret them, I think for this reason Moo. I'd probably be freaking out.

Normally I'm fine with it, because I know what most of the levels mean and it's all routine, but this one knocked me for a loop. People are telling me that it's not the be-all, end-all of tests but yeah, I'm still concerned. Worst case, though, it sounds like it's still early enough to halt or reverse progress with ACE inhibitors and stuff.

I'm still holding out hope for my doctor to email me back. She usually responds pretty late at night. If not, I'll likely get a call in the morning. I'm hanging my hat on the "mistyped unit" theory because it's the one that makes me least nutty.

Will tries to read books to Gracie. It's like watching Benny Hill, he's running back and forth from one room to the other with his book chasing after her. "Come on Gracie, I read you pigeon book!"

    Love.

  • I feel like a big slacker for not doing more. I am doing the invites and then giving all the kids seedlings to plant at home. Otherwise....yah I got nothing. I wanted to make a banner with a picture from each month but don't know if I will have the time to make it.
  • I bet some online service like shutterfly has picture banner making options that would be quicker than making it yourself.

  • It is like this. So I would get the pics printed then just glue them on some paper.

  • Cute!  I did a 12 months of pictures frame of Connor and I'm really glad that I did.  It's neat to look back on that now because he changed so much over that first year.

  • I was doing one a month with him in the same onesie to show how he was growing month to month but he was not wanting any part of it after 7 months. He would not sit still for the picture. So I may just have to do random pics from each month instead. :(
  • My mom did these quickie collages in MS Photo Editor or something with pictures throughout different relatives' lives and it's crazy to see the ones she did of my little cousins, since they have so few pictures, but they encompass so much development.

  • Mine were random pictures, but they were some of my favorites of him from each month. I feel like that captures more of his personality as it grew too, so don't beat yourself up over that :)

  • Moo, I never read your post about your pee - sorry!  I hope it's just a mistake, though I will say that my sister and one of my good friends (both of whom are type 1) have had protein in their urine before and it turned out to be not a big deal at all.

  • Ooh, I think I'm going to do a banner with month-by-month pictures for Ian's birthday party.  I'll get it from snapfish though, rather than carving it out of wood.

Way to slack off there Kay. Mine will be not only hand carved wood but they will be framed with seal blubber.
