Are you church goers?

Re: Are you church goers?

  • No church for us, never grew up with it either and I still managed to be good person.  I believe there's something but I don't really know what it is and it irks me to no end when people try to tell me what to believe.

Ditto on the whole "guilt trip" thing, I can't stand that. Some of the most religious people I know are also the most judgemental.  Not that we all don't do that every now and then.

To each their own and whatever makes someone happy - as long as you're a decent human then it shouldn't matter.

  • We were both raised roman catholic. Neither of our parents were all the time church goers, My mom was more so when we were younger. HH did go to catholic school for a short time. We did all the religion classes and all that jazz.  We got married in a catholic church, mainly b/c its what the parents wanted and we wanted the tradition. (i know we are going straight down for that) We both believe in something we just are 100% what exactly, we like the catholicism but both feel its alittle too strict for our tastes.

Also, I wanted to add that I typicall refrain from talking about religion in RL, because, like politics, it is a touchy subject with a lot of people.  I don't care what you do or don't believe in, all I care about is that you live your life with love in your heart.  I think that's what God, or Buddha, or Jehovah, or Mother Nature or whoever you do or don't worship, would have wanted anyway.

    well said :)
